“Great setting for visiting Bristol, beautiful and historic hotel that is very well maintained with great amenities. Staff are friendly, helpful and very welcoming. The staff are very professional as in all the Marriott Hotels I stay in and as a whole the hotel and staff are a credit to the Marriott brand.”

“My daughter and I had a very warm welcome at the hotel! The room and its facilities were a wow experience for my kid and she enjoyed her little girlie bed. Joe and colleagues on both afternoon and morning shifts were extra fantastic. We got a change of room on request to have a better view of the City. Breakfast was good with Marcel and the team. Thank you all. It was our first time in Brizzeel and we hope to visit again.”

“Brenda could be the nicest receptionist ever. She greeted me with a very welcoming vibe and I observed how she helped other guests with a smile. When I had a noise problem she also didn’t think twice to find me another available room and make sure I was comfortable. Hotel location is also very central and if you are one of lucky ones facing the waterside, it is a delight.”

“After a filthy hotel in Bulgaria and a terrible flight and train journey from Birmingham my daughter booked me this room so I could get some rest before continuing my journey tomorrow to Cornwall. I was so cold and the receptionist gentleman was lovely. I burst into tears when I opened the door to the room. Beautiful and new, clean, fresh.. smelled of a new furniture shop. Absolutely LOVELY. Having stayed in the Ibis at Birmingham International airport which was horrible, I was expecting another grimey hotel but this one is fabulous. New kettle, spotless wooden floor, no stinky stained carpet or bugs. I am in a gorgeous double bed with new bedding. Heaven. Highly recommend! This is a basic room so the more expensive rooms are probably even more luxurious. Thank you Ibis.. lets hooe other travellers treat the rooms with respect as I have.”

“I recently visited The Sugar House with two friends over the weekend as I was visiting from London. I had never heard of the place but stumbled across it whilst walking in the centre. The bar was dimly lit, intimate, and relaxing. Although I didn’t try anyway, the bar stocked a variety of cigars for those that enjoy a smoke with their great selection of whisky. Jakub and Vincenzo were the perfect bartenders for our visit, and ensured we were looked after without being intrusive.”

“Excellent location, just off M5, near the M4/5 junction and close to Aztec Business park.Room was comfortable enough, although the pillows had seen better days.Just be aware that they don't serve breakfast, which is not made clear, that I can see, on their website. To me this is a deal-breaker. On-site breakfast, even if it's a bag outside your door is pretty much a must for a hotel.Food & drinks: No breakfast available on-site”

“good hotel next to a great pub (amazing food) clean, comfy and they have a restaurant for Breakfast, full English or continental. Tracey and Roz are amazing and really bent over backwards for our wedding party - thanks ladies, keep up the good work :)”

“The evening food menu was a disappointment. The rooms, breakfast, and location are all spot on.Excellent city view from my room on the 14th floor. There are lots of other places to eat in the evening, so you'd be better to head out rather than relying on their limited menu.Food & drinks: Evening menu is very limited, you are better off eating out.”

“Great hotel, was here a few nights for business.Conference facilities are top notch.Staff are excellent, rooms are very comfortable and food was phenomenal, belly pork we had at lunch was probably the best I've had, and each night the dinner menu and food exceeded expectations, and the service staff took the experience to the next level. The lads on the reception are very welcoming, and the warm cookie you get on arrival is a nice touch and absolutely delicious.”

“Had a good room - down the far end of the building. Helpful/friendly reception staff. Adequate parking - car park well lit. Restaurant a couple of yards next door, and a sainsbury accross the road. A good ”

“Cheap clean and good price, it’s a Travelodge not a boutique stay so boring box. Signs to enter are good given the mini maze involved from motorway. Otherwise easy access to Wales/ Forest of Dean and Bristol/Bath M4/5 etc.”

“Great location near the docks in the City Centre. Room was a good size with all the facilities. No car parking, but the Ibis has a deal with a local car park, £10 for 24 hours. We had the breakfast, good choices available. Check in was easy. Lots of places to eat and drink nearby as well.”

“We always choose Premier Inns by choice as we know they have everything we need, including a good breakfast and a super comfortable bed. We go away from the town centre to get parking and a lower price.”

“This was a complete shock. Stayed at travel lodges before and not been impressed. Booked superior room and was delighted. Well done to all. Staff friendly parking on site if available and just off centre, handy for everywhere.Rooms: Basic but very comfy. Main problem was building work round area which started about 7.30 and continued all day, not travel lodges fault.”

“From arrival, the receptionist (Spanish) was lovely, we were upgraded to a lovely room, it was so quiet and the air conditioning was a gods end. Very clean room and having the fridge in the room was lovely, keeping the drinks cold. The breakfast selection was fantastic, really enjoyed it, definitely would come again.”

“Comfortable, Clean and quiet inside but with no room air-con and a noisy road outside the front you can't sleep with the window open unless you take ear plugs which another member of our party had and she slept very well apparently ;-)”
