“A big thank you to the guy in Aldi at Holdenhurst Rd that phoned around and reserved a dolls house for us to pick up at Castle Point. We really appreciated what you did. Great service that is so rare nowadays”

“Home Bargains has to be one of those shops I am both happy and mad to have found since moving this way. Happy that it's cheap amd cheerful with a good selection but my purse and bank card have parked with so much money on whim buys! Ahaha I only have myself to blame though, not the shops fault but be aware of the fact that you will need a basket as you aren't popping in for a few bits! ;)”

“An excellent supermarket ! And the financially attractive offers on "both" there own brands and more traditional brands presents a good balance, and because of this the much deserved increase of interest and popularity in Aldi is "sure to continue"!!!”

“Well stocked. Useful for frozen products when the home freezer is nearly empty. And as I've got a sweet tooth, nearly always buy several packets of Frangipans (currently 3 pckts x 4 for £3).Free car park underneath is massively useful.Recommended.”

“Iceland may not on the surface at least be one of the "Big Hitters" when it comes to supermarkets. But in terms of value, and variety they definitely offer a "First Class Selection"!! For anyone as yet who is unfamiliar with Iceland then please check them out ASAP!! You won't be disappointed!!!”

“Well done for installing the self checkouts, brilliant. You need to stop allowing the staff to use their headsets like mobile pho es talking to each other around the store, it's rude when they are on the till and it definitely distracts them from their jobs.”

“Friendly staff clean store and plenty of room to take a trolley down the aisles. You have an adequate number of manned tills open which I prefer than self serve. Only problem is your prices are higher than asda who compete only a few shops away. Otherwise I would shop here more often.”

“I’ve just shopped at this store and a lovely assistant named Chloe served me. It was so refreshing to be greeted by a smiley face and yet very professional. Thank you Chloe”

“Surprised that this is a Sainsburys superstore, but it's a busy seaside town, so of course it's going to be smaller with a much smaller selection. Big downside for me is the lack of free parking. Plenty of paid council parking available, but at £1.20 an hour, that's a tad excessive for a quick drop in. Assume most will be in walking distance from this one. I'd recommend the much larger Asda that's 5min down the road, with its own car park, that's free.”

“My most regular place for shopping at the moment is due to being able to park near the entrance, but my mobility is getting worse every day. May have to use Aldi with the mobility scooter, weather permitting, or start ordering online. I do use sainsbury with their mobility scooter but find it too expensive. Maybe Aldi or Lidl need to think about having mobility scooters available”

4Good65 Reviews

“I like shopping in Aldi, but due to mobility problems, I can't walk along the dodgy angled path from the carpark. So can only go when the weather is nice enough for the mobility scooter. Plus, I've had 2 cars damaged by other people in the carpark”

“My favourite shop but getting a bit pricey. I go Asda too. If you load up a bonus card for every 20 you save you get a free pound. So I put on 300 per month and get 15 on top. Asda I use a savings card and for money you put on through the year you get between 5 and 15 in November for free. It easy to top up and bulk buy and then you don't have to worry about having money for food through the month as you top up as much as you can and spend when needed.”

“Winton branch has almost all I need in foodstuffs and household goods. The middle-of-Lidl is eye-catching and fun. The self-checkout takes cash, card or smart-phone and is staffed by cheerful assistants if the technology beats you! Love it!”

“It’s a Tesco store. What is there to say? Although the staff are all quite friendly and I’ve almost ever found something to be out of stock here. So i guess I’ve just answered my own question there. Well stocked and friendly Tesco with free parking. Go Tesco!!”

“Great corner shop, convenience store for good quality products. Good friendly service, price point a bit higher than large supermarkets but worth it for a quick no hassle shopping experience. ??”

“Acceptable prices to be slightly reduced by 15% for products made of tin and frozen meat. little for the New Year that will come Christmas ornaments arm garlands colorful light bulbs and even sweets.”

“The continued popularity of Lidl, shouldn't really come as any surprise! They remain one of the leading discount chains, because of the very desirable offers on food and drink, but also items such as walking boots/ trainers can be found as well, the quality of which i think is very good! In addition the staff seem genuinely motivated , and the levels of hygiene are good as well! In addition a car park is within close proximity as well, which will definitely "lighten the load" for shoppers who may have "over indulged" lol! So yes please do visit Lidl, i don't think you will be disappointed by your experience!!!”

“Staff here are really friendly and this store has just about everything you'd want from a corner store. Not the cheapest but offers can usually be found, especially if you have a clubcard.”

“We can get most of the items we require at this shop and offers are good.Tills on this visit were slow due to a lack of staff but cashier was polite and attentive.Parking is ample but beware of pedestrians walking aimlessly and cars not paying attention to others can be quite a challengeOtherwise a large well stocked shop”

“We always send off parcels from here with click and collect. Staff are always helpful and friendly. Shop is clean. Parking is not great but to be expected due to a busy residential road”

“This is a great and very convenient store. However i was appalled to witness a man walk into the store, and blatently steal a whole host of items by filling his bag and provide the staff with a load of abuse on his way out. The poor staff member could do nothing. The criminal apparently lives next door, the police are aware but sadly cant/won't do anything. I'll continue to visit the store and try and support it but this is so infuriating to every honest person.”

“What a friendly member of staff “ jackie on the till “ I was feeling low moods today but after talking with jackie who was so nice she made me laugh I left the store feeling very happy 😃 what a great start to the day ! Thank you jackie”

“Plenty of things here but slightly higher price than larger Tesco and the items are a more basic range. We wanted bread but the choice was one option for white bread or two for wholemeal!”

“Like this shop. OK staff members, polite and friendly. Food is fresh and good quality. Some products in clearance for unbeatable prices but normally little expensive. Will visit again”

“A great place to get well and truly shafted with Tesco's Club Card Con. If you don't have a club card you pay much more for your purchases...but if you fall for the Tesco Con you get things cheaper....but the cheaper is actually the normal retail price you pay in all the other supermarkets...so you're not getting any real savings! And the best part of applying for and owning a Tesco Con Card is that they get to SELL your information on to marketing companies and most probably HM Inspector of Taxes so they have clear proof of exactly how much you spend on your weekly shopping ! It's a win...win situation... but only for Tesco's...for everyone else it's a Con...Con situation. And in Tesco Express you pay more for your shopping than you do in their bigger supermarkets...now you can see why Aldi and Lidl are slaughtering Tesco...better products and with the extra benefits of 'honesty' a word alien to Tesco.”

“We have stayed in this hotel 3 times now and absolutely love it. The rooms are always clean spotless and the beds are always so comfy especially when staying in a family room. We booked breakfast and dinner at the hotel for each night and we stayed 4 nights. This year I found out I had a gluten allergy and I was catered for fantastically. They had a special no containing gluten menu at night time with so much choice ! Breakfast they had gluten free bread and offered to cooked anything I wanted separately. The food in general was great ! The only downfall was the lift broke a few times down to the car park while we were there which caused us to have to walk down the stairs to the cat park with big suitcases and pushchairs but that’s the only little niggle I have ! Going back in October and we cannot wait !”
