Why is the main desk soo close to the front door layout was a lot better when it was Yorkshire bank, plus there only a few chairs in waiting bit at side just makes no sense

I've banked here from the early 1980s and never had any problems with the service. Called in for advice on my fixed bond that is due to mature. I am looking for a better return on my investment. Unfortunately, the staff can only advise on an ISA that I already have. All other investment opertunatis I was told they can't give advice. I was shown the website to visit to pick the best option for myself. If you're not an IT wiz kid or banking expert,then how do you know what the best options are? I always thought if I'm ill go to the doctors for advice so I would expect to go to my local bank for financial advice, seems that's no longer an option. Let's be clear the staff at the branch are very good and away very helpful whenever I have an issue. This is clearly VM Bank trying to drive account holders online. I've taken advice from elsewhere and will be moving the fund to ensure a better return on my investment.I will continue to bank with VMB because of the branch staff.

Recently I needed to make a trip to Peel Square to get help with business banking app. I had a problem viewing my business account on my new phone. Somehow the app retained two accounts on my old phone. Sharon proved to be very patient and helped configure the problem. Well done Virgin and well done Sharon! Please don't close Peel Square branch as it's sometimes necessary to chat face-to-face when advice is needed.

Would give them zero if I could, not because they are a poor bank as I have not managed to get an account yet, but because It's impossible to get through on the phone and local branches don't have phone numbersThey may be experiencing high volumes of calls, but there is a simple solution - employ more staff

I had a query relating to transactions in US dollars showing only in £. The assistant was lovely, explained that the clock sign on the transaction indicated it hadn't gone through yet and showed me on another completed transaction that clicking on it gave more info, including the rate! Why didn't I know that when I downloaded the app?? Thank you Barnsley!
