I recently moved to York and had a very positive experience with Belvoir. One thing that stood out was their flexibility in arranging online viewings, which made the whole process convenient for me. The team at Belvoir was friendly and showed genuine care throughout. Any questions or concerns were addressed promptly, and their approach made the renting process smoother. They even took care of setting up bills and council tax, which was a welcome surprise and saved me some hassle. It's not something every letting agency offers, so I appreciated the extra effort. So far a great experience. Would definitely recommend.

Throughout my time as a landlord with Belvoir the service has been excellent. I was new to the process of being a landlord and I cannot fault the guidance I have received. If there have been any concerns for the tenants I have been notified promptly and Charlotte or Claire have made arrangements for everything to be sorted.

Excellent communication, really knowledgeable, the fees very reasonable can always contact either via phone or email. Process was easy. They always had an answer to my questions. As a first time landlord they guided me through the process with easy.They made what could have been a stressful situation really really easy.Thank you

Being a tenant, I found that both Claire and Charlotte have been able to help me throughout my tenancy. I've been notified of any visits required by work people or from Claire or Charlotte. They seem ready to be available at all times holidays included. I would recommend anyone to look for a property through Belvoir York and know that you are being looked after.

After 3 years living in one of their managed apartment in East Parade I can unfortunately share my negative experience I had as tenant with Belvoir and its owners.Claire attitude has been very difficult throughout my experience. As tenant I never felt respected despite I was adhering to all my duties as tenant (e.g. Paying my rent always on time, taking good care of the house and never created any issues throughout the tenancy period).There were a couple of issues I experienced such damps in living room which were never sorted during my tenancy despite reporting issues multiple times. Single thing which was done was to paint over the damps which came back after few days.Another issue was related to the fact that during covid period I was forced to accept the visit of their electrician to my property despite I had never agreed to the visit. I was threatened to be obliged to pay the electrician fee if I hadn't accepted the visit despite I had explicitly asked them to arrange any maintenance work via call phone instead of message due to my impossibilities to answer text message unless WhatsApp. The electrician private message to organise the visit was never answered and the electrician remembered just the day before (at 10 pm) to remind me about his compulsory visit which was never agreed to. Claire fully supported his supplier instead of trying to empathise and understand why I could not let him in after few hours notice (i.e. I had to work the day after).Apart from the total lack of support over the 3 years as tenant, the last issue was related to the deposit. At the end of the tenancy they came out with really petty excuses (dirty skirting board, light switches and bathroom panel dirty after they took the pic with flash and light off in the bathroom) aimed at holding a cleaning fee of £150. Fortunately, I had enough evidence about my good faith and for a principle matter I decided to go through an independent adjudicator through the DPS. and guess what? The adjudicator stated that the cleaning fee of 150 pounds????? is unreasonable and unjustified in her/his report where he/ she awarded me of the entire deposit fee they were trying to claim.A genuine tips for all tenants leaving the property, keep record of all communication during the check in and take good pictures and videos of the house when leaving the property.I wish I could have left a positive experience/ review to a local business but unfortunately due to how I felt during the tenancy I am forced to share this experience with the hope to help future tenants to be treated better!Update after answer of the owner: hopefully Belvoir answer can show the difficult attitude I was mentioning and how they live in a delusional world.PS. Please check the review I left to local businesses to see how untruthful their comment is ?

I cannot recommend Claire and Charlotte at Belvoir York too highly. As a landlord I was looking for a service that would take the stress out of letting my property and they have provided this and so much more. They are responsive, proactive and diligent. They are also genuine, friendly, decent people, which is not always a given in our business! As such, I trust them implicitly with my property.

The team at Belvoir have been outstanding! Not only are they polite and friendly, they are also incredibly knowledgeable. They took the time to ensure they know my requirements exactly and only presented me with properties they knew matched my needs. They kept me informed throughout the rental process from my first enquiry through to me moving in to my new home. They even have me a welcome pack of goodies which was very much appreciated! Keep up the great work ladies and I shall remain a happy tenant for many years to come!!!

I can't say enough good things about the Belvoir team in York. Nothing phased them and they made the process of letting my first property far less scary than I thought it was going to be. They made sure I knew what was going on every step of the way, reassured me when I needed a bit of TLC and, most importantly, found me a great tenant who told me her own experience of dealing with them was great. Charlotte was lovely and helpful from beginning to end! She was very responsive, if we ever needed clarification on anything she was just a quick email away. Thank you Belvoir! Just moved out from a long term rental, got my full bond back, really happy with the whole procedure. Had to move abroad at short notice and had to have the staff arrange for everything including the electricy meter. They were so helpful and arranged for cleaning, keys and even getting my last belongings to my parents.Can't recommend enough!

One of my worst experience ever. After not replying to my emails for 1 week, the week before the move, I called them twice on Monday and Thursday and they were disturbed I called. At the end of the last call a member of their staff even laughed at me saying they were waiting information from me and not the opposite. My interaction with them ended when they say they didn't have updates regarding my application and so they didn't feel they had to reply to my emails. The justify their behaviour saying they work only for landlords and do not feel to do anything for the tenants. Honestly I don't see what they do or good at. I precise this is my experience with 2 staff members, one of which was the director.
