“I shopped for a bit of kit to add to my fishing tackle. I couldn’t locate the bit I needed. This young lady was stocking shelves nearby. I asked her help and she as only too happy to help. This area was not part of her responsibility and she couldn’t find what I was after. She phoned up the lad from the area we were in and he knew that there were not in stock. One was ordered to be picked up later.An e-mail today informed me that the bit of equipment had arrived. I went down to the store and picked it up. No waiting no difficulties altogether a good shopping experience from start to finish.I would like commend the two assistants who helped me initially, very pleasant and informative. I bought a TV which was damaged and they sorted it out for me very quickly in store (they weren't so helpful on the customer services phone line which I know is a call centre somewhere, 3 calls made and 3 different answers...the last call and the staff at the store are the reason why its 5* and not zero”

“Shop is clean and well stocked. But most importantly, staff there are kind and attentive. I had a dreaded coughing fit because my hayfever was playing up. Embarrassed I excused myself from the shop. Sharon took my items from me and saved them, after offering for me to have some of her water. “This Asda has a good selection of goods and is quite quiet not many people there. So you can shop in peace.The only 2 downsides are the front entrance is permanently shut and last time I went the elevator was the only option. So your stuck in a small lift close together with a bunch of strangers.The other thing is the self pay machines. These lead to less employment and less interactions with real people. There is an issue of really clear CCTV images that are used at the till quite capable of facial recognition this is without consent or knowledge as to what they do with this data and we are not privy to their privacy policy. Also I support the use of cash and the self pay stations encourage the use of cards to pay. USE CASH AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE OR WE WILL LOSE IT.Anyway I don't work there so I don't scan I go to the till manned by a person who earns a wage to their benefit.”
