I went to the Royal Lancaster for their afternoon tea. While the food and tea themselves were very good, the service left a lot to be desired. At 40-45 quid per person, I'd expect far better service.The finger sandwiches were good, but perhaps nothing amazing. The scones were very nice, actually. The desserts were great... read full comment

Our stay was for a week. It was a unique hotel in every sense of the word. The breakfast was delicious and varied. The staff treated us with the kindness, service and smile. The location is exceptional with immediate access to Hyde Park. We will definitely return to this great edifice.

Great location.Just a short walk from Paddington Station and one block from the tube and at Hyde Park.Very friendly staff. Nice lobby, excellent restaurant, climate controlled clean rooms, nice shower, and king bed.it’s not the Four Seasons category , but it’s a very nice hotel. We would gladly return.
