Shops nice but the post office really needs to update their opening times online. Noticed this is a consistent issue with post office not updating info online. That has been frustrating but again staff there are lovely and always helpful.

I went to London Road Post Office/Eurofoods on 209 london road reading Berkshire rg1 3nuI entered the post office at 13.10 on 10 August 2023 to post a parcel back to Amazon I was asked by lady as post office counter to pick up my dog is clearly marked as a assistant dog even when she was given the assistant dog ID. She said that no dogs were allowed near the food, even if it is assistant dog so she saying in theory that a guide dog which is the same type of dog that blind person has to pick up their dog when they go in to the store where there is food, I think this is pure discrimination under the equality act of the United Kingdom even when I asked to speak to manager she was at the front of the shop and when I spoke to her she said that they are the rules of her shop and she has had trouble with other dogs in the past. This does not mean my dog is the same, especially when he is qualified to be a resistant dog I find this very outrageous for a shop to treat its customers in this manner and I must say it?s not to do with the dog it?s to do with their religions and believes I have made a complaint to post office head office about this

Ignorant ill mannered incompetant staff, needs a course in customer service, as I approached the counter she made a personnal phone call. I had to wait there for 2inutes before her brain cell registered to serve me , and not for thr first time said, my return is Evri when it has amazon written on it. Also implied there's an activation time for the qr code rubbish, there's a valid time but once it's issued it can be used so I had to make a second trip to this awful place... won't go again a cultural thing place stinks....

This post office provides very helpful service, although it can be busy at times, which is to be expected for any business.

I?ve had nothing but good experience - they?re busy and have limited staff but, in my opinion, do their very best. Always been polite and courteous towards me, and I?ve seen them have some very difficult customers and handle them professionally and respectfully.

Extremely rude and unprofessional staff at the post office, especially Gurmit Varris. She has a ?I don?t care, your complaint won?t matter anyway? attitude. Extremely patronising and nasty. Needs customer service training desperately.Response to owners reply: Nothing I have said in this review is untrue, you were extremely unprofessional, patronising, passive aggressive and arrogant. You do need customer service training and it?s shocking that you?re the manager. Quite frankly your ratings speak for themselves. Your response is a testament to my first review of your service. I won?t accept your passive aggressive apology. My entire engagement with you could have been completely different had you actually acted like a manager. I hung up because you were being extremely argumentative and not at all helpful. A family of three live at that address and the person collecting the package did have ID as proof. Regardless, my review was specifically to rate your customer service and this remains unchanged. I will no longer respond directly to you but I?m more than happy to discuss this with someone professional and empathetic to the situation. Regards.
