ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!\\nI needed to collect one medication for my 4 yo child and they were the only pharmacy having it in stock. However, they refused to issue it to me as they are there only for the hospital. Hence if you have a prescription from your GP it won't help you here. This pharmacy is BOOTS and not a private or proprietary pharmacy, exclusive for the hospital.\\nYou are there for us for patients without favoriting who gets the medication and who not. Or we should understand it as a new form of racism???!!!\\nYOU ARE PAID FROM OUR TAXES!!!\\nSHAME ON YOU AND THESE DIRTY PRACTICES!!!

Very slow and rude. Charged me for an inhaler, 45 minutes later told me they didnt have one in stock and that i couldnt use the prescription to go to another pharmacy. Said it was a hospital only prescription and that if i wanted an inhaler id have to get another prescription with a GP. Rolled eyes at me when I explain that I *needed* an inhaler TODAY.\\nEventually gave me this battered box with a very clearly not clean inhaler inside.

Great Chemist. Very polite and friendly, especially with the amount of people they have passing through. The hospital messed up my prescriptions and had no idea. Thanks to the chemist who had their own records saved the day.Thank you.

We tried ringing the number shown on here several times to check the prescription was ready as we livex15 miles away the number is no longer in use!!!There is another on website which is in use and was answered. Very very busy as always had to wait 10 minutes to be asked forward, the checking procedure was thorough enough

Dr?s prescribed medication changed due to not being in stock, 3 days later more meds prescribed and told by stroppy assistant that it would be 4 to 5 days before they would receive it although my follow up appointment was in 2 days.

Lady sighed when I told her to look through the boxes and find the medication she allegedly ordered 5 days ago. She said she could't find any after a few seconds, but first wasted 5mins to look for my prescription. Looks like the attitude and of service is nonexistent in this place, also continuity in taking meds with this pharmacy is unlikely. Stay well away from this place. Management- get them trained! She deserves a slap to wake up or simply need to be replaced by a young person .

Staff here seriously need to be retrained/better trained and/or change of management...why, you ask?? Myself and 2 other people waiting for our prescriptions at nearly 6pm (it closes at 7:30pm), they tell us it will take 15-20 mins (why, I have no idea, but fine). While we wait, the staff continue to package prescriptions for patients who ARE NOT THERE - and place those prescriptions into boxes ready to be collected. Guess what...nobody is there to collect them, and nobody comes in to collect them...mystery? No. They are clearly working through lists of daily prescriptions, probably to be collected tomorrow, or LATER... I KINDLY tell them that I have to leave and collect another time if the prescription won't be ready in the next few minutes - and, without even asking their colleagues who are fulfilling prescriptions, they magically know the answer already "it will take another 15-20 minutes" - this prescription consists of 1 box - they just need to put it in a bag, print off a sticker, and DONE) - they then continue to ignore us, and continue to package up prescriptions for people WHO ARE NOT THERE, putting them into the boxes in front of our frustrated faces. I then leave, telling them I will have to collect another time - I was in a super rush. Shouldn't they prioritise patients who are actually waiting? My reasoning is that they will have to pause the work on their daily lists at some point ANYWAY...right? So why continue with the lists, making patients wait longer and longer, delaying the pausing of their daily lists...rather than just pause their list, serve the patient(s) waiting, then come back to their lists again?!? What's the difference?! Come on guys, sort it out - looks like this is a common trend at Boots GWH - stop systematically causing patients to wait longer than they need to.

My wife went today with our 3 year old son who is potentially ADHD and the clinic had not sent over her prescription for anticoagulants as promised. By the time she got back from clinic with another prescription she waited 40 minutes in the pharmacy for her injections, at which point our sons behaviour deteriorated rapidly and she could no longer stay to pick up the prescription. The staff would have seen that she was finding it difficult, and in pain from multiple DVTs (she also has several chronic illnesses and severe anxiety) but didn?t make any attempt to make this easier for her. She doesn?t have enough fuel to return now and will have to non-comply with treatment. It is frustrating as I have to work in the day and we get no help that there seems to be these barriers to accessing medication.

Had quite a wait to submit a Hospital prescription though once handed over was filled reasonably quickly

Extremely rude and patronising staff work here, we will not be returning for any prescriptions issued here. Avoid using and try somewhere else, anywhere else! A bit of staff training wouldn't go amiss, particularly customer service. Shame that one star is the minimum rating, they don't even deserve that.
