Best pub in town without a doubt, friendly service and decent selection of drinks, great food, very welcoming community atmosphere, very comfortable and well looked after rooms. They are very inclusive in their hiring practices which is a huge plus for me as well, always nice to see. Cannot praise this place enough, very grateful to this public house for existing!Walkability: easily walkable and accessible, located right on the high-street and you can walk easily into town.Food & drinks: Great ale and lager, a somewhat more limited selection than other pubs around town but what they have is objectively some of the best. Ramsbury Goldale is the best in Wiltshire. Classic food selection with plenty of variety also.

Booked a table for dinner on a Friday evening and was not disappointed. The staff were excellent and the steaks were exceptional. A thoroughly enjoyable evening. Can't praise the staff enough, if ever we're back in Marlborough, I'd look forward to dining there again. Thank you???

Previously known as The Sun, this historic Elizabethan pub is thought to be the oldest in Marlborough. The inn survived a great fire in the centre of Marlborough in 1652. The panelling and beams are original. Some small plaques on the wall for popular but passed regulars.A good selection of beers and good food. There is also a small courtyard garden and several rooms. Friendly and interesting staff.

Booked 3 rooms here for 2 nights and we weren't disappointed. Staff were so friendly and made us feel welcome straight away. The landlord was really friendly and very funny. Zoe, the landlady worked so hard, coming in at 8am and not leaving until gone 11.30 pm. Always smiling and full of conversation. We had a meal there on the 2nd night, food was so good. I had crispy Chilli beef to start. I honestly can't recommend this enough! My sister in law and I wanted to finish the night with a cocktail. Luke, the barman suggested martini expresso. Try this cocktail! Gorgeous!! Luke was very chatty, and made such an effort to make our stay enjoyable. Lots of the staff there seem to be long term friends, and it really shows through the atmosphere there, warm, welcoming, entertaining. I stayed in the Library room, very spacious and clean. It is directly above the bar, so don't expect silence! I personally love the noise of people downstairs chit chatting away. There were 2 other staff I remember talking with, Billy, who was a pleasure to talk with, and I'm afraid I don't know the other guys name, but he booked us in, I think he may have cooked too. I just want to say a big thank you to all the staff for making our weekend such a pleasurable one x and not forgetting their furbabies! 2 beautiful chocolate labs!

I remember staying here more than once when it was The Sun Inn. Happy memories. And I have been back since upgrade and name change. Dropped in today for a swift pint, out of the RAIN and only had time for a Starter. Delicious, tasty. Not cheap here anymore, but will save up and come back for a treat. Service is excellent.

Went with a large group. The food was ok, and I had fish and chips. The batter was a bit thick and stodgy. For pudding, I chose Eton Mess, which consisted of a bit of meringue a few chopped up strawberries and a bit of cream, and at £8, I was expecting something a little more. On the plus side the staff were very nice and helpful service was quick.

Towards the end of the High St, this place has a lot of character. We didn?t stay here only had lunch, but the food was lovely.Service left a lot to be desired though. Staff were friendly but not great with the service at all.Food & drinks: Meal was really lovely, although quite pricey.

Lovely room but rather odd to have 1 bathrobe and 1 coffee capsule between 2 of us! (Double room clearly booked for 2). I won the fight. Finding staff at breakfast took some effort, but the food was fine when it arrived
