We were accommodated earlier than our booked time as traffic had been lighter than estimated. Service was excellent, and the food was exceptional.

My daughter booked in for Mothering SundayWe have been here on various occasions, however we would have to think if we would visit again. The service was mediocre as was the food it was poorly presented and barely warm. The vegetables seemed as though the fresh ran out and replaced by frozen. Our table was not the best and as I say the service left a lot to be desiredWould not recommend on this visit which is rather disappointing

On arrival at The Wheatsheaf I was met by a young lady who welcomed us and then told us we had 1 hour and 15 minutes to eat our meal. Nothing was mentioned of this when booking and if it had been I would not have booked. We had a decent main course with a bottle of wine and then a delicious dessert but it was all spoiled by a feeling of being rushed! It was Mother's Day. A day for treating a mother and enjoying a good, relaxed Sunday lunch. Your limited time at table rules ruined it! What are you thinking? This is clearly about profit and cramming in as many customers as possible and shows no consideration to those customers. I will be reviewing The Wheatsheaf on Tripadvisor and Google and rest assured I will make sure people know of your greedy rule.
