I must start off by saying that by and large the interaction that I have experienced with the staff at this pharmacy has been good. They are always polite & helpful. However what lets them down & which has a knock on effect on their customers, namely you & I, is the chaotic system that they work to with regards to the dispensing of prescriptions. Surely there must be a streamlined system that would not leave their customers feeling frustrated & anxious.I have had to call on numerous occasions to enquire when my prescription(s) would be ready as I have run out. Sadly at times it has taken me at least 32 attempts to get through & to have someone actually answer my call. It's just not acceptable.I admit that I have no idea how many staff work at the pharmacy but there always appears to be just one on the counter at times, even when there has been a queue of more than just 6 or 8 people waiting to be served. Surely there should be the capacity of staff so that someone else could assist on the counter. Also simplify the system, take staggered lunch breaks so that the opening hours could be longer, I'd be happy to volunteer to come in & help. It would be a win win for all.

The staff are polite. That is the only positive about this dysfunctional pharmacy. 33 calls before they answered the phone and that is normal for them. Customers herd whilst several staff are clearly in back rooms choosing to avoid customers needs. This pharmacy closes for lunch, opens for a few hours on Saturday and closed all day Sunday. What sort of business model is that. Whilst I was waiting again, a customer came in and asked for soap. They don?t sell it. Astonishing. Here?s a suggestion - make serving your customers a priority, stagger lunch breaks remaining open, open longer at weekends, strive for good service not settling for mediocrity at best. Having said that ? Day Lewis chemists ? nationally have a dreadful reputation. It?s failing, but the staff are polite.

Have always received a good service from this pharmacy with medications for my family, however recently have needed to visit myself and have received really great service. Friendly caring pharmacy with first rate service.

First and highly likely the last time using this pharmacy. Berated indirectly by an elderly man because I, someone who is immunocompromised, wouldn?t move closer to other people. So, clearly this is a place where the older you are the less considerate you are of others. With absolutely no regard for people under the age of 60 with severe medical conditions. Then, the service received from the sales assistant, unacceptable on many levels. Immediately rude, challenging, belittling & dismissive. Would put this bleached blonde with dark roots woman in late 50?s+.She delivers what can only be described as personal selective service. For those she knows, overtly friendly and accommodating. However, if she doesn?t recognise you, then the service is rude and bullish.Customer Service is supposed to be a set level of service delivered to a customer REGARDLESS of your personal immediate perceptions. You do not know what your customer is dealing with personally, bereavement, health issues, etc. To make them feel like they are worthless, uneducated and unwelcome just because you are inept at performing the basic tasks of your job description is not acceptable. The world has a lot of issues going on all the time, being polite, kind and showing common decency is free, and and easy thing to do.This sales assistant could do with a lot of guidance and customer service training. Will not use or recommend this pharmacy based on this interaction.

Thanks so much for seeing and helping our visiting friend yesterday. I was hugely impressed and very thankful that you could fit him in short notice, and quickly resolve his problem. He's now feeling much improved and able to enjoy a long awaited get together. Best wishes Les Charlton

I am more than aware of the difficult times we are all facing but it most certainly did not help when on visiting Day Lewis chemists this morning to encounter a" most unpleasant woman," shouting at me, merely because l looked in the window before entering the pharmacy!! I am a type 1 diabetic and unfortunately, need medication, its not a question of choice, l can assure you!! I drove there on a motor cycle so was dressed appropriately as to not alarm any of the staff or customers ( helmet, visor, gloves etc) She informed me in "no uncertain terms!!" that there was a queue, as this queue was at the side of the building l hadn't noticed it, and the very last thing l would do, is try to push in front of "said queue!!!" I was also told there was no room for me and to "GO AWAY"I was proud to honour our wonderful NHS last night in a National show of appreciation for there kindness, selfless, dedication to helping us all in these troubled times, but it most certainly does not include the nasty woman in your chemist!!

Called in on my way home from work with a list of things the medical centre at Westbury said i needed. I only had £10 on me but walking into this pharmacy in Market Lavington made my day. I cannot say that i have ever had better help or service for many years from a shop. Thank you for being so helpful and thoughtful.
