Was hoping that being taken over by Lo Pharmacy that this badly run pharmacy would improve. Sadly, nothing had changed.Called to collect a prescription and after checking the assistant asked me to call back before 6pm as it wasn?t ready. I went back around 4.30 and waited in a queue for around 20 mins. When it was finally my turn, I was told that they had no stock of my medication. Unbelievable.

Now I never post on Google reviews, so here?s a first.. I have never ever experienced such poor service and organisation from any chemist past and present. Last time my prescription was due, it took two weeks and they tried to send me back to the doctors for another prescription for medication that was short by them and then expect me to pay again. ShamblesThey have a text messaging service to notify you your prescription is ready.. Do they use it?.. Nope. Shambles..Today, I call to collect a prescription (after realising if I wait for a text, I will be waiting forever) sent to them five days ago ?expecting? it to be ready. Guess what?.. ?Are you okay to take a seat??.. Really, but it?s been with you five days? The lady bless her looked embarrassed. I suppose the reality of this moan is I don?t really foot the blame at the ladies on the counter, it?s the back room staff and there incredibly poor management of this chemist and it?s the ladies on the desk getting all the grief.To top todays experience, they try to charge me double. Shambles..The management certainly also need some inter-personal skills. Never do they interact with customers. Time to move to the nearby AsdaApologies to the front of shop staff. This is not directed at you.Back room staff? You need to take a look at yourselves and realise this service you provide is incredibly poor. There is no organisation..I genuinely don?t think I have ever been in this chemist and a swift transaction take place..If anyone has any knowledge on the city of York, then you will know which street this Chemist should set up?

Wish I could give zero stars. Always the same every month. No matter how early you order your medication, it's never ready when you go even if you get a text saying it's ready. Always tell you they can't do it for a few days and when you tell them you can't wait a few days then they do it for you. Why tell people they have to wait days when they don't really? It's laziness and unprofessional that's why!

Where do I start? Medication never ready on time, I try ringing up before hand to save myself a pointless journey. But if the phone isn?t off the hook it?s just ignored. The staff never seem to get out of first gear, and that?s why it?s always packed, which makes it even more annoying by the time You finally get served, just to be told it?s not ready. Absolutely horrible pharmacy. The lady working on the front end clearly doesn?t want to be there and takes about 5-10 mins per customer, leaving people waiting for very long duration and normally to be told they don?t have the medication. I would be embarrassed working in this store. Also it?s extremely difficult to get through on the phone as they leave it off the hook for hours on end which is not very thoughtful when people need medical assistance. All in all the place is a joke

After complaining to Rowlands head office and receiving an assurance that they would investigate the issues l outlined in 2022 l can report that this branch of Rowlands is still unable to retain a qualified pharmacist or counter staff, stock the unit which commonly used medications and fail to consistently fill prescriptions on time. I would suggest these are fundamental to this service, but as of today 11/4/2023 nothing has changed. I tried to contact the company, they do have a complaints department (handy) but they are very busy helping other customers, so l was asked to record my complaint . If you have a choice and are more importantly able to go to another pharmacy GO!

Never ever do they have all my medication in stock there is always a problem. Pharmacists are miserable. Every time I go in they are telling most people in front of me they dont have theirs in stock. Cant believe they are next door to the doctors but hardly have stock. An absolute shambles. From now on my doctor can send my prescription to belle isle, which is an excellent pharmacy. This one needs shutting down. Would have scored a 0 if I could

Every month is the same. Prescription not ready despite receiving text to say it is ready. Last twice no text received. Been in today. Prescription is ready but cannot dispense it as the pharmacist has gone out for lunch. 2.15 and out for lunch despite this being the busiest time according to their website. Friday afternoon and no medication for the weekend despite ordering it 10 days ago. Absolutely unacceptable.

If i can give them no star i would, by far the worst pharmacy ive been to, rude customer service, i take a box of tablets back because I thought it was the wrong one because it says codeine and i take a different medication. The girl behind the till was trying to deal with it but the old man working there was rude and got really sharpTo be honest if you don?t have customer service skills dont work with public!!All i want to know if yous have given me the wrong medication or not !!Is it wrong for wanting to know??!!!

Absolutely Rubbish. Im switching from themBeen 3 times now for my partner's prescription that was done almost a week ago. Was told the rest of it would be here the Monday so left it until Tuesday still not ready and the product wasn't in. Attitude not good too. . Absolutely unbelievable known nothing like it people actually need there medication .very unhelpful. Been very patient until now.Disgusting service.Complained to head office. The date on the prescription owed is 1st of March its now 7th.

I went to collect my prescription this morning (it was snowing) but it was not going to be ready until the afternoon. The assistant promised to try and arrange to have my tablets delivered as I wasn't able to return in the afternoon. My tablets were delivered as promised. I would like to thank the very polite, helpful assistant who arranged for delivery.

By far the worst pharmacy I have used, in the last six month they have not been able to manage a single item prescription correctly and on time. Not sure if the staff or their system is fit for purpose but even after contacting head office still no further forward. If you haven?t used them yet don?t bother find another company even if it?s further away.

Found the pharmacy staff very helpful. I went last week and the staff on the counter were being screamed at by a customer. It?s unacceptable when she was trying to help. She dealt with my prescription efficiently. Went back today to collect and the pharmacist took time to check I had all the medication I needed. Thank you.

went into pharmacy to collect my prescription, waited outside the door almost 25 minutes with atleast 25 people in front of me was disgusted with the long wait, this is always the issue at this pharmacy short staff, no staff!! or new faces!!!walked into pharmacy and the shop was full with almost 17 to 18 patients.. all waiting to be served waited in que to be served with another 20 minutes wait, customers were being told waiting time was approximately 45 minutes, the lady serving customers on counter was pretty slow with taking details from patient, spending almost 4/5 minutes taking patient details absoultley shocking!!!!! finally another lady came out to serve the customers waiting and had served pretty fast, as she dealt with each individual with out writing details and wasting time, which i?m pretty happy with, we need more staff that will deal with customers like the lady who served me today, but overall the pharmacy really need to recruit more staff members, as this is putting the pharmacy service down, after listening to customers in que about the service and wait time, the pharmacy will loose business with the way the service is going, and after reading the reviews above its shocking as Rowlands is a well established firm and should be more professional, in the time i waited atleast 6/7 customers were told that they did not have stock available, this is absolutely shocking, if a prescription has been ordered a week ago customers should expect the prescription to be ready in at least 48 hours, i urge you to look into this matter as this is a very serious concern, overall 5* for the lady that served me efficiently and didn?t have to wait another 10/15 minutes.

Whatever time I attend there is always a queue. Sometimes 6/7 people in front. Probably not helped by people calling in straight after their prescription has been sent to the pharmacy. Saying that, lucky if I get a text message and even when I do it?s invariably contradicted in the pharmacy or I get part of my prescription so then have to call back again. Borderline farcical. Have therefore decided to move my pharmacy collection point to one near work.
