Attended an intimate wedding in their function room and spent about 2 days here. The accommodation is very spacious and lovely - waking up to a beautiful courtyard, and in between the vineyard and the restaurant.Wine was quite good, food wasn't much to shout about but the overall value of our experience made up for it. Staff were friendly and helpful all round, and simply a spectacular place to get lovely photos in.

Took my partner out for her birthday, and it didn't disappoint. Fantastic service, lovely well cooked food, views to die for and great staff. Will definitely return

Lovely high tea overlooking beautiful views into the valley. Thought the vineyard talk was a little too detailed and went on far too long, probably fine for wine connoisseurs but not for me who was just interested in the basics of the processes.

Recieved as a gift afternoon tea and a tour of the vineyard - I phoned the day before as the weather forecast was dire - no vm facility ?Then phoned again on the morning of the 'tour' to confirm the tour was still going ahead despite Amber warnings in the area for flood - footnotes on the website say to ensure suitable clothing is worn - hence why I phoned to see if umberallas were available. So all kitted out in wellies and rainproof coat.Afternoon tea was superb - couldn't fault it - delicious - however the tour for me was quite a waste of time - the very knowledgavle man spoke very passionately about wine - but he explained 98% of the crop had been ruined the previous year therefore the machinery used had been taken to the 'sister' site in Robin Bay- he explained that the essence - 250 bottles had been produced at the other site on the coast- so no wine had been made there in over a year - so the small samples hadn't even been made in the area?? - the duration of the 'tour' we stood in small barn with machinery that hadn't been used - we wasn't offered a walk about - chairs for 8 ppl despite 26 of us being there - lovely man talking but a waste of an hour and a 15 stood up listening to how wine is made basically in 'the region' and UK - save yourself 25 quid a couple - buy a bottle of wine and watch the process on YouTube instead - the owners don't even live there now says alot.

Beautiful surroundings and the afternoon tea was lovely.Car parking was a nightmare. The car park is too small some visitors could not get parked. The vineyards tour was very disappointing.Due to the weather over the last few years the vines hadn't grown. The owners live in Whitby and are growing vines there. The tour was inside where you are stood the whole time. This is where they attempt to make wine, telling you how the wine is made from vine to bottle.

If I'm honest on this visit I was disappointed. We bought the vineyard tour and then had lunch for our friends birthday.I'd recommended it from when I went years go and had a brilliant time and the food and service we spot on.When we arrived there had been a party/wedding the night before and there was still remnants of this, bits on the floor still tidying up so it wasn't what you want to arrive to. This should already be done as it was 1015 when we arrived.Seemed to be a few staff but no one checking us in. We were in front of them they'd just served another customer and the lady then walked away and started doing other things. An acknowledgement would have been okay but didn't happen. The manager doing the tour was very knowledgeable and I was kept interested while sat outside. But then it came yo going inside where some of the equipment has been moved to the other site and another piece was in for repair so we were pretty much looking at an empty warehouse which is not what we expected. The red wine should have been opened earlier before the tour started to let it breath, but instead we were told to wait a bit and swish it around. We also used the same glass for all three tastings. Surley you should be pushing your own wine and this isn't the best presentation of it. Not even some bottles on display in there.Food wise it was just okay, the staff didn't seem clued up. The burger was okay. Im not really sure what the belly pork was meant to be with the bbq sauce on top and then the mango sauce it just didn't work. The fish and chips were very heavy battered meaning it was quite soggy inside. We enjoyed the bread and oil dips to start. But didn't bother with the desert. It was a really shame as the first time round everything was perfect. This seemed very poorly organised and really missed the mark on what it used to be.
