A bit like eating in a cattle market. It?s noisy and chaotic, but I guess some people enjoy that kind of thing? The food is good, but WAY overpriced - £11 for a reasonable glass of Malbec and £26 for a tiny steak and a few chips? Staff were friendly enough, but forgot basic things like bringing us cutlery to eat with and serving a full half pint of juice in a glass for a two year old?for the money, you can eat better places, but if you?re lacking inspiration and easily parted from your money - go for your life. Not entirely unpleasant, but definitely overpriced.Parking: Nightmare.Kid-friendliness: OK for kids and they ?eat free? (which is probably why everything else is inflated)

TGI Fridays offers a dining experience with fantastic food, albeit at noticeably higher prices. Despite the expense, the restaurant's unique layout and decor contribute to its vibrant atmosphere. From American street signs to a towering Iron Man statue, the interior design adds an element of fun and excitement to the dining experience. The menu features a variety of delicious options, particularly the grill selections, which boast excellent flavour and quality. Personally, I found the sesame chicken to be a standout dish, bursting with savoury goodness. While the prices may be steep, the food certainly delivers on taste and satisfaction. In terms of beverages, TGI Fridays offers an adequate selection of beers and cocktails. However, it's worth noting that there was an intriguing discrepancy observed?a Budweiser sign adorned the decor, yet Budweiser was not available for purchase. The staff at TGI Fridays are commendable, embodying a friendly and welcoming demeanour while providing attentive service to diners. Their helpfulness enhances the overall dining experience and contributes to a positive atmosphere within the restaurant.

Avoid the place at all costs. We arrived 20 minutes early for our booking and was told we'd have to wait at the bar until out time despite there being plenty of empty tables. We were eventually seated and the woman taking us to our table asked if we're celebrating. It was our son's 6th birthday. Despite telling them this my son recieved nothing special even though other tables around us were sang to by staff etc. When we received our starters they brought an extra one out. Not wanting to be charged for it we told our waiter who asked which one of the doubles up starter we'd like to keep. My wife told him she'd touched one already so that one. He said it does matter the other one is going in the bin.The calamari was burnt and rock hard, the corndogs where cold and the potato skins were burnt with hardly any toppings. We also had no sauces or salt on our table. My son ordered Mac & cheese for his main which tasted like it had zero cheese in it. My wife had the fajitas and the peppers and onions where almost raw amd the cheese she recieved was next to none. My 'ultimate rib combo' came out twice, meaning another meal will have gone in the bin, and I couldn't help but laugh. The ribs were cooked ok but bland, there were about 7 fries, the corn was unseasoned and had no butter and the funniest part was the small pot ofdry white/brown cabbage I received as 'coleslaw'. Plates where also dirty.Mid way through the meal we tried to order my son another drink and was told by the only person who came anywhere near us that she couldn't take out order it had to be our server. After 20 minutes we gave up.This was genuinely the worst dining experience I've ever had. Staff had no idea what they was doing, food was dreadful and the coat for this experience was astronomical.Absolute daylight robbery. I wouldn't eat her again for free.

Poor quality food and high prices. Usually from a chain you can expect a certain level of consistency when it comes to the food but not at TGI's in Castleford.Kid-friendliness: The staff were great with our kids.

Very poor and slow service, tired and unclean restaurant and incredibly expensive for what you get.We had a prebooked party for dinner on Sunday evening. We arrived on time. It took 45 minutes for our first round of drinks to arrive and when they did arrive some were missing. They finally took our food order after us being there almost an hour, when it wasn't really that busy. When the food did arrive, which was 90 minutes after we got there, they just cleared the dirty tables either side of ours had not been cleaned since we arrived. A number of the sides were wrong, a main course was missing and the topped chips were cold because they explained the add the cold toppings onto the hot chips which cools everything down before it reaches the table. The hot parts of the food were actually nice but the missing and cold dishes are not made up for by the good bits, especially at the very, very high price point! Burger and a coke is over £25!When we were done we shared the bill amongst a few people, at the last person the server said the bill was now covered or had only a couple of pounds left. Then went away and recalculated it and said £84 was outstanding - quite a massive and surprising difference(!) and higher than we had calculated. Turns out they had double charged us for a number of items we have to go back today to sort out a refund for.Poor show from start to finish, astronomically priced for what is average to poor food and unacceptable, slow and inaccurate service. Almost all of the servers were very young and absolutely not blaming them - the failing clearly stems from mismanagement. Unfortunately we will not be returning to a place we have enjoyed a lot in the past. So much better out there for the money.

I mean it?s nice food, but it?s not as great as it used to be, the bacon cheese fries now have some weird chili sauce on it.Fairly expensive aswell.

The food was mostly nice and tasty although at times a bit pricey for the portions you get.Two of our hot drinks came cold and it took quite a while to have them replaced.Service wasn't the best we experienced previously in other TGIFs. Two of our plates got collected as we had finished and then 15-20 minutes later no one had come to clear the rest of our table and we had to go and find a waitress ourself as they kept walking past us and it was somehow difficult to get their attention. We then had to wait another 10 minutes for someone to take our order for desserts. We had a 2-hour slot for our reservation and ended up being in there for 2h30 due to how long the service took. The atmosphere itself was good, it wasn't too busy and the music and decor are nice.

Don't think I'll be visiting TGI Fridays again in a hurry. It could honestly be a fun game of spot the waiter. Any issues you have with your meal, it's like trying to find a needle in a haystack.Meal tasted rank, dry meat, over cooked, ordered two of the same meal and both were completely different which was strange to say that these options weren't give to us by the waiter. When the young waiters finished school and actually came back to our table, they didn't seem to understand the menu and what foods came with what. Was this because they didn't work here or because the music was so loud, didn't know it doubled up as a nightclub. Then, when we questioned the bill, the waiter actually checked to see what we had eaten. Disappointed to be honest, dirty cutlery, loud music, sticky floors, leaking toilets, and under trained staff.Won't be visiting again.

Worst experience of my life at this chain.Already had a booking so waiting to be seen and seated at our table wasn't an issue given it being half term for kids.Over hearing the staff though, they were saying, "The kitchen's really busy." "They're struggling." Didn't bode well.So onto the order... me and my wife ordered the 2 for 1 cocktails so 2 each. The passion fruit martini was dreadful. I barely finished my own and could only drink half of hers. It was nowhere near tasting anything like passion fruit. The drink left a horrible acrid chemical taste at the back of our throats. The other cocktail we ordered was a bubblegum fizzy daiquiri, that was palatable but far too sweet and sickly.Had to order a regular coke to swill that out and even then the coke tasted watered down, very off.Starters:Mozzarella dippers, fine. Was warm at least.Calamari, no longer the 'ring' shape, but some weird looking malformed nugget thing. Without even the courtesy of a lemon wedge..Main:Friday glazed burger with cheese. By the time the server had served it and left, 5 mins later it had gone stone cold.I suspect it and the side of garlic and cheese we had, were sat unattended under the warming lamps for far too long before the ultimate ribs were ready to go with the rest of the order. The garlic bread cheese had fused together and by the time they'd been brought out. Resembling some weird abstract art piece.Back to the burger, along with being stone cold the patty was not juicy and mouthwatering but dry and tasteless.Ultimate pork ribs full rack. At least this main was warm and stayed warm whilst eating. Unfortunately the ribs resembled something you'd buy from a supermarket, where its vac sealed and you'd stick it in the oven for 25mins... at least that'd be worth the money you pay for.So bearing in mind all the above... as we tried to eat our food, we had the passion fruit cocktail under-the-sink-chemical after taste in the back of our throats throughout. As a couple, for the above orders, we paid £110. What a joke.Could have gone to five guys or Nandos for half that cost round the corner. While all business have had to raise prices due to inflation etc etc then you at least still need to be consistent, which this particular TGI chain has utterly failed to do.I'll make sure no one in my immediate friend/family circle ever attends this place going forward.
