My recent visit to Cex left me feeling disappointed and frustrated, marking a departure from my usual positive experiences at this store.Typically, I've found Cex to be a reliable destination for trading items and browsing their extensive stock. However, on this occasion, I encountered issues that soured the experience.I had hoped to execute a straightforward transaction involving trading in items for both store credit and cash. However, I was informed by the staff that this was not possible, despite the seemingly low level of activity in the store at the time. When I proposed splitting the transaction into two separate transactions to accommodate my request, I was met with visible frustration from the workers, who cited busyness as a reason for their inability to assist me. This response felt disproportionate to the circumstances, and it left me feeling discouraged and inconvenienced.Additionally, I've heard troubling reports of workplace culture at this particular Cex location. Allegations of bullying and misogyny among the staff raise serious concerns about the store's internal environment and treatment of employees.Despite these issues, I must acknowledge that the store maintains a good selection of stock, a testament to its potential for providing a positive shopping experience. However, given the challenges I encountered during my visit, I would caution others to consider alternative Cex locations, such as the ones in Wakefield, until improvements are made in customer service and workplace culture at this branch.

Please avoid this place the Manager or who I believe is the Manager (Yusen) is rude, arrogant and unprofessional, this isn?t just my experience with him, loads of people on my social media have experienced the same with him and refuse to use this store, CEX need to listen to it?s customers he?s costing you money.Don?t be fooled by the 2 year warranty either it is full of terms and conditions to avoid upholding it. I found out after 6 months if the product becomes faulty you only receive the value it?s worth on that day not what you paid, which in some cases can be huge and it will only be paid back on a voucher which it doesn?t state anywhere.

Some great deals can be had but always look for brand-new prices first (if what you want is still available new), obviously cex can't keep track of all new prices so sometimes offers can take brand new prices below what CEX sell at.You can find interesting, forgotten about and retro items here though. Items also come guaranteed so less risk than eBay.

Appears to be dodgy practises at this store. Sold an item at the start of the year, no issues and money received by bank transfer within hours as promised.Sold a 2nd item in approx May, agreed a certain amount, left the store after requesting transfer. Went abroad and when I returned still nothing in bank and contacted customer services.Customer services took ages and eventually said the store is waiting for me to come to pick up cash (no one contacted me in nearly a month).I requested transfer and pointed this out and was told I hadn't signed the form so would have to pick up cash.Went to store and was offered approx half the value of what was agreed as cash, or an amount still less than the original as a voucher.I was told this was due to the model being a "WiFi" model and therefore an incorrect initial quote. When you search for any devices like this a WiFi model is always lower value, mine was a sim model so should have been a higher value.Was eventually offered a cash value close but still lower than original deal. Wanted rid of the item so accepted but appears to be a lack of integrity.Very poor customer services / contact centre.

Can only coment on this perticular cex has had no dealings with any other outlet

I love CEX it sells cheap games for ps4 ps4 xbox and more it also has new items including legend of zelda tears of the kingdom and ps vr 2 I traded in 3 old and cheap games and got 1 new game(made in 2017) legend of zelda breath of the wild and yes I do have a taste in nintendo games

Buying and and selling gadgets at one point is an exceptional experience especially when it?s an old gadget buying it a new one at a favourable price point.
