“My lens replacement procedure was carried out on 11 October 2022, followed by lasik on 21 July 2023. Both procedures have provided me with almost 20/20 vision, both distant and close-up. For someone who has had poor vision for most of her life, this surgery has literally been life changing. I would like to say a huge thank you to the Manchester team, as well as the team at Leeds for making me feel at ease during both the procedures. Eye surgery is daunting at the best of times, but the results are phenomenal. My journey with eye correction would never have started had it not been for the professionalism and care shown by the team at Bradford. I will forever be grateful to faiza for the initial consult and support to actually go ahead with the procedure. My real hero, though, is nusrat for the after care she provided. I had regular appointments for a year until the point of discharge a few weeks ago, and nusrat always delivered the best possible care and was always incredibly attentive. The team at Bradford always addresses you with a smile and a calm, pleasant welcome, which puts you at ease the moment you walk through the door. A huge thank you to farah for her friendly nature and also anissa for managing the practice so well and bringing a successful team together. Would I recommend optical express to others? Yes, without any hesitation. Everything is virtually HD from the moment I wake up to the point of falling asleep. I would advise anyone with poor vision not to allow their fears to take control of the situation. Both lens replacement and lasik are virtually pain free and the recovery from both procedures is very quick. I only wish I had taken the leap sooner.”

“Despite the difficulties all GP practices are experiencing due to inadequate staffing levels my experience has been that Thornton Medical Practice does as well as it can under the circumstances. Yes, it can be difficult getting through on the phone sometimes, but this is due to the high volume of calls the practice receives daily. It's not fair to suggest that staff are anything less than 100% commited to providing a good service under extremely testing and under resourced conditions.”
