I recently visited the Argos store and had an extremely disappointing experience with the customer service desk staff member. I returned a microwave oven because our plate didn?t fit when we tried.And after a 15 min inspection , he claimed he detected a smell of spices ( I didn?t mention what food we had on the plate to try on. It was just because I?m an Indian? ) and thumb mark on the glass (of course when packing at home, we don?t use gloves as we are not a warehouse )He refused to accept the return.Also, he asked me to rephrase my questions multiple times to mock me. I can clearly say this guy is a racist. And when I asked if we can inspect any item the same way on purchase, he said that he cannot guarantee that we might not find fault , if another staff member had not checked it properly .This decision was made despite finding no actual issues with the item. This experience has left me extremely dissatisfied with the service provided by Argos, and I have decided that this will be my last purchase with them.

I?m sorry to leave a 1 star review for Argos as I have always been satisfied with their service, but this time it?s a massive NO!I have placed 2 orders on Saturday the 25th. The first order has been delivered with no issues. The second order, most important (the mattress has not been considered even if I paid for the next day delivery between 7am and 1pm.I had to call the customer service at 12.45pm as I was not receiving any updates on the mattress. The reason I wanted and paid for next day delivery is because I went from a super king size bed to a small double so I had to put the super king size mattress on the double bed size frame. When I ordered the double mattress I paid £30 to have the old mattress to be collected when delivering the new one. However when I called at 12.45 pm ( waiting extremely annoying as the automated system asked repeatedly the same questions and you do not really have time for it) the customer assistant said that my order has never been confirmed even though they took the money. He processes the refund of the next day delivery I paid and rearranged a delivery for the next day. I asked him to confirm that my old mattress will be collected when the delivering the new one THREE TIMES and he said yes don?t worry.The day after my new mattress has been delivered but the deliver guy said he wouldn?t collect the old one (service I paid for) which let me astonished! Now I have a big mattress in my hallway and I wonder what did I pay for? Why Argos customer assistance said something that did not happen?The delivery guy said that if no one would have collected my mattress by 10pm to call him and he would have done it. I?ve called him and texted him but he ignored both my message and call.This is extremely annoying and concerning!

I've never been to an Argos where staff are cheery and helpful. Perhaps it is a London thing. The staff here are friendly and helpful, makes a pleasant change ?

My first time visiting Argos in Hayward?s Heath. Customer service officer - Chloe saw me looking a little puzzled by the ?tablet? and immediately came over introduced herself and proceeded to help me find exactly what I needed. She was polite and extremely professional - her customer service skills outstanding - well done !!

I bought a £140 LEGO set from Argos but returned it an hour later and bought it from somewhere else. This is what happened:I oredred for Click & Collect and when I picked it up, I had a query about something else so wasn't paying full attention. As I walked round Sainsbury's I noticed that the box was heavily damaged, had been opened from both ends and was held together with Argos tape.I went back and asked if I could have another one and was informed there were no more in stock. I asked if it was possible to have a gift voucher as 'compensation' (it was a present and I didn't want them to think I had bought it second hand and thought a voucher would make up for it) but was told only a manager could make that decision and they were on lunch - could I pop back in 15 minutes.I walked round Sainsburys for 15 minutes and then went and stood in view of the counter (although I was a little out of the way to make sure I was social distancing!) and after another 30 minutes with nobody acknowledging me, I approached the counter and asked if any managers were about and was informed that they were dealing with a delivery and 'if we keep interrupting them they'll never get anything done'.I asked for a full refund and was given one. I really wish I had said something at the time but the young lady behind the counter was quite young and I felt bad as she had been so polite throughout.However, no matter how polite she was, neither she or any one else, at any point apologiesed for the state of the box, the fact I had waited so long or the fact that no manager was available.Really disappointing as Argos had been a bit of a lifesaver up until then but I haven't used them since.Whinge over.

Staff are very rude and lie. I ordered a hoover from here. Went to collect it and was rudely told I didn't pre order even tho I showed him my receipt

Having gone in today to collect an irem, there was no queue and the staff were helpful and quick in service! Would recommend.

Its in an ideal location, unfortunately if you purchase anything, you have next day delivery at the store where you can pick it up. But its handy for small items such as phones etc.
