Whilst conveniently located approximately 30minutes drive from the nec, I recently visited this hotel with my assistance dog. Upon arrival the staff appeared friendly and accommodating. That was until approximately 15-20minutes into our visit to the hotel to see friends whereby the concierge knocked the door of the room I was visiting friends within. It was clear that the staff have very little understanding about accessibility needs and the laws surrounding assistance dogs.Whilst I appreciated the concerns of the concierge staff upon visiting the room in question and we were very polite in our responding approach, I was made to feel particularly uncomfortable and my accessibility needs felt in question when it was brought to my attention that had I have been stopping at the hotel myself, it was my responsibility to alert the staff that I?d be visiting with a dog which would?ve meant apparently that we would?ve been placed in a ground floor room to avoid allergies to subsequent guests visiting the hotel. It was explained that the dog in question was an assistance dog and required for accessibility needs which is required by law. If I hadn?t have had my chaperone and felt able to advocate for myself this would?ve meant that my accessibility would have been blocked. It was not as though I was visiting with a pet dog and without my assistance dog this visit would not have been possible. Not to mention that the travelodge franchise accommodates and promotes themselves as pet friendly.I would hope after this experience that someone in my position doesn?t have to go through this experience again and only hope that the travelodge management team take the time to retrain their staff in accessibility needs.

A perfect stop for our long car journey. Unbelievably quiet considering where it's located. The staff members at this Travelodge were amazing. Gina in particular. Lots of A4 pages to colour! Thank you!! We will stop here the next time we are on this route.

Stopped over rather late due to being tired. Was able to book and be checked in even despite the very late time, room was well presented and nothing less than I would expect. Glad to have been able to use them!

I haven't stayed at a motorway services Travelodge before and thought it would be really noisy but it wasn't. The traffic from the M6 is really white noise and I wasn't aware of it and there was no noise from people using the services. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and although it is dated and could do a refurb, everything was spotlessly clean.

We stopped overnight and the location suits us to contribute our journey. The staff was very helpful and courteous. The hotel is basic in nature but clean and good.

Extremely Disappointing Experience - Unacceptable Hygiene StandardsMy wife and I booked a two-day stay at Travelodge Birmingham Hilton Park M6 Southbound over the Christmas break to spend time with family. Unfortunately, our experience was far from pleasant.Upon arrival, we were shocked to find the room in an extremely dirty state, failing to meet even the basic standards of cleanliness. The entire property was in poor condition, and the sheets hadn't been changed, with noticeable stains and crumbs concealed beneath the duvet. The changeover process appeared haphazard and posed a potential hazard to guests.Disheartened by the condition of our initial room, we brought the matter to the attention of the reception staff, who promptly offered us an alternative. However, the standards in the second room were equally subpar. Bloodstains on the pillow and a dirty bathroom were not only unacceptable but also raised serious concerns about hygiene.Regrettably, the condition of the rooms ruined our night, leaving us with no choice but to check out and find alternative accommodation. Our disappointment is beyond words, considering the importance of hygiene, especially during these times. It is imperative that the management of Travelodge Birmingham Hilton Park M6 Southbound address these issues urgently to ensure the safety and satisfaction of their guests. We hope that this review serves as a constructive critique, prompting improvements for future visitors.

When we entered in the room it was smelling cigarette. And like always mattress was sloppy. We have booked for 2 nights and were there for business but next morning when we woke up our backs was hurting very badly. This is not first bad experience with travelodge it happened so many times before. But this was last time now. We ll never ever book with travelodge again. Its better to pay bit extra and book with other hotel.

Travelodge hotel stay was great, except for paying for wifi and not being able to use it. Receptionist was helpful, but I think Virgin wifi was an expensive fraud at Travelodge hotel.Rooms: great night sleep, but Travelodge hotel stay was great, except for paying for wifi and not being able to use it. Perfect for a stop-off on a long journey, or for lorry enthusiasts! The rooms were comfy and clean, and the staff were friendly and gave the children colouring and puzzle sheets. The shower was lovely; warm and powerful. Our youngest child thinks it's important to note that she was not keen on the smell of the handsoap!

When I arrived I was feeling very unwell, and the lady at reception was just brilliant. She got my room changed to downstairs, and sent me off to bed while she sorted out my car reg for parking etc. I could not have been more grateful. The room itself was clean, comfortable, and peaceful. With an ensuite bathroom, television and tea and coffee making facilities. There was also a vending machine in the reception area, which was very useful. It is also very safe as the only way in to the corridors to the rooms is with a fob attached to your room key.It is right on the M6, so very convenient, and everything you could possibly want from an overnight stay on a long car journey.
