Shop is always well stocked but unfortunately the staff are the most miserable rudest people I've come across. The smurf that always blocks the Isles and refuses to move or even acknowledge people is the worst, as for the lady on the checkout, (if you shop there you'll know who I mean) personality of a goldfish!! Customers are such an inconvenience for her!!! Couple of young lads that work there are always polite and friendly

Food under cooked and when I sent it back they refused to bring out a fresh one. The staff were very rude and not accommodating at all. Considering the reviews were very positive I was very disappointed with the way I was treated and will think twice about returning.

Works Christmas night out. ABBA tribute night. Food was amazing, very friendly staff who work extremely hard. If I had to moan, it would be to say more bar staff are needed as they are run off their feet.

Such a welcoming atmosphere and amazing food. Sarah our waitress was so friendly and really made us feel like valued customers. She would pop back to speak us and check everything was ok with our meals. The food was delicious as always, Hannah was our chef today. Both staff members are a credit to your business and I hope they get recognition for going above and beyond. We are looking forward to returning for New Years Eve!

Excellent Christmas dinner. 3 x course meal, food was cooked beautiful and great friendly staff who served our food. Thanks to Cooks, Chan & Hannah. Thank you for a friendly service meals served by Sarah & Jon. Definitely worth a visit dont miss out.

Had a lovely meal, staff were all extra friendly and the service was great. Very reasonable pricing and great that they accept blue light discount. Delicious pizzas and dough balls. Sarah in particular was so helpful her service was great, so friendly, helpful and professional. She was so great with the kids too!

The best Sunday lunch we?ve had in ages!! We love The Claregate anyway, it?s been our local for many years but today was especially brilliant. John and Sarah are such friendly and attentive members of staff, nothing was too much trouble. We regularly chat to Sarah, she?s always keen to speak to us and make a fuss or our two dogs and she?s amazing at her job. Our dinners today were not only huge but piping hot and tasted just perfect. We?d highly recommend to anyone wanting a tasty dinner and full bellies!

Been shopping here for over 2 years and one thing has been consistent over that time. The rudeness of two members of staff in particular. Today one of them hit me with a stock cage when I was stood in the queue waiting to be served. He had no intention of apologising until I looked at him.It's a shame about these two members of staff as the rest are polite and friendly.

Well pleased with the food !! We had the roast and it came out at the same time, there was 8 of us still hot. Sarah our waitress was it very attentive nothing was a problem! Would we go back definitely yes !!

I really enjoyed my meal, I told the waiter that I had been eating out for the last two weeks due to working away in lots of different restaurants and I said it was lovely to come back home and come out to dinner and I have to say it tasted better than I had for the last two weeks and I had been to some lovely places keep doing plenty of food at good value and you will continue to have the visitors. The guy who served us at our table was really cheery and jolly I'm so sorry I can't remember his name

Had a wonderful evening at the Claregate Pub. The food was delicious and there was very minimal waiting. A very pleasant atmosphere. Our Waitress, Jasmine was very attentive and made sure my friends and i were all content.

Awful food, frozen chips were over done, bbq sauce tasted horrible and was orange in colour, streaky bacon was over done, and i think it was rocket on the plate looking sorry for its self and the pop was almost flat. Would definitely not recommend this pub for food. Staff were polite
