I went to this branch with my sister in law , she needs a bank account , she is working and she is from Venezuela . She got Family permit visa . The lady in the entrance saw the passport her face change . And then she said to another girl (Teresa) please can you check this passport and she said I havenâ??t got time for this ... really come on .. the people there is so so Rude,I do not recommend this bank... and them We went to lloyds bank and they received us very well.. I know we are imingrants and we are coming to work . We are working , we pay our tax . you should be kind with everyone.

The costumer service is extremely bad. I was calling to change an appointment and lady handling my phone call said she would be back in a minute and she left me on call for 50 minutes! Extremely disappointed with the amount of time they take to complete 1 task.

Just tried to get in the Halifax the door was locked, the branch manager opened it but was very sarcastic about " opening the door before I can get in" no explanation as to why it was locked in the first place.

Went to Wolverhampton branch today. Wasted 30 minutes in long queue to reach counter. 3 desks open, but there was another one vacant, they said that couldn't be opened. Plenty of staff walking around asking if they could help, but that's no good if you need counter service. One counter assistant was good enough to inform us we were lucky, as it had been a 45 minute wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! previously. Every time time I go in there is always a queue. The branch is shutting for restoration, but an assistant said there would be no more cashier desks created. Service is abysmal.

I made a special journey to Halifax Wolverhampton,cost me £4.80 on the bus.Once inside,went to the counter area,huge queue,which i stood in for at least 20-30 minutes,there were 3 staff at counters,one counter was unattended.A member of staff approached each person in the queue asking if she could help....REALLY !!!!!....she would have been more helpful if she had opened the other counter,thereby serving more customers...come on Halifax.After waiting 20-30 minutes I finally got to a counter,I asked to withdraw an amount that exceeded the limit I could get from the machine,she asked me if it would be ok for the cash to be half in £20 and half in £10,I said 'yes,thats ok'.The cash came out of a machine next to her,she did not show me the cash or count it out in front of me,merely took the cash from the machine slot and placed it in an envelope and handed it to me.On getting home I opened the envelope and I went APE!!!!!!....All of the £10 notes were the ' old ' £10 notes......I was absolutely fuming......I then had to make another trip costing £4.80 to change the old notes for the new style £10 notes........Absolutely disgusting, the whole experience is unacceptable,level of service is a disgrace,the cash should have been shown to me and counted out.Customers are doing you a favour Halifax by banking with you,about time all this was sorted out !!!!!!!!!!!

Staff are freindly enough, but using a counter service usually first involves long long ques as people sort their entire lifes out in front of me. Also Saturday before Christmas I saw no signs online about shortened opening hours and Google showed open until 15:30, arrived at 13:30 to find it completely closed. For me the online hours should of been adjusted, as a small business owner I happen to know how easy this is to do, Halifax you have no excuse. Also couldn't find the branch telephone number to call them to double check, just number for the generic telephone banking.
