Went looking for a sofa and a couple of other bits. For the price of 98% of the furniture, mainly the sofas, I can get brand new for the prices they're charging! I understand that there's inflation etc... So that's what I'm doing with regards to the sofa. As for my other items, well they're a little better priced and I may just get a few items.

Absolutely terrible! Went in to have a look for some furniture. The prices for some of the stuff is ok, but there's a few damaged and filthy sofas that they're charging over £100 for! Damaged and filthy - let that sink in. A faux leather four seater sofa damaged on one arm (not sure if there was more damage as we only spotted that one bit) and they're asking £170 odd for it! Another sofa, possibly a faux suede, absolutely dirty and worn like a cat been scratching the arms, asking £65 odd. Couldn't view what we needed as it's severely cluttered in there... Shame as I was advised to pop in here. Seeing the issues has put me off, I wouldn't dream of over charging for dirty and damaged goods - actually I wouldn't sell at all.

So you book a donation online, receive a follow up call confirming a time and date of donation. The collection team then don't show up. I appreciate its for a charity but a modicum of service is expected. The collections team have let themselves and BHF down and I'll donate to other organisations in the future. My advice to anyone else wanting to donate furniture. Go elsewhere.

Tried to donate a large amount of my furniture as I'm moving out of the country, but alarmingly many of my items were rejected with little reason. My couch was rejected as it had a slight depression in one of the cussions but the accompanying loveseat was also rejected because "if they can't have the complete set they didn't want it at all". Why on earth would you reject a perfectly good loveseat just because you can't also have the couch? Then my office chair was rejected because despite it clearly having a fire label, it apparently didn't have the "right" one, my divan bed was rejected because despite the fire label clearly being on the headboard the other separable pieces did not have one, and my wardrobe was rejected because it was "too large" to be in the warehouse, despite the fact that I confirmed over the phone several times that it was a large wardrobe and was never told that it could be an issue. They also refused to take my mattress as despite having the correct fire label, it had three barely visible stains that the guy needed a flashlight to even identify. Was very unimpressed, and would only recommend donating your furniture if its practically fresh out of the box, which rather defeats the purpose of donating used furniture.

To say that all good donated go to help the charity, they must have more than enough money that they can be so snobish about anything they collect, yet when you go into store there isnt a single item with some sort of damage!! Rude on the phone when trying to donate. If thats the attitude then id rather sell the items myself and donate the money to a charity that actually appreciates when people try to help. Wont let me put anything less than 1* sadly!

Went in yesterday and spotted a corner unit, about 5ft 7 or 8 tall, and was reasonably priced at £25. Asked about delivery and they wanted £25 for a short 5/10 min drive door to door! They used to be reasonably priced for delivery. Now they can swing!

The manager was VERY RUDE! The woman with the short blonde hair. I was so surprised at how she spoke to me. Very rude woman, terrible service! Every other worker was so kind!

I'm moving house and wanted to donate a large sideboard in excellent condition. I was told that I would receive a call giving an hour's notice for the pick up. I received a call dead on 7am and the collector was very rude dismissing "my claims" that I was told about a 1 hour notice and saying "if you're not there in 15 minutes you'll have to rearrange". Very bad service and unfortunately I won't consider donating to them again.

The cupboard I wanted to donate was refused by the persons who came to pick it up as it was missing some small protecting plastic for the nails inside the drawer. Otherwise in vgc cupboard with 3 drawers and mirror! Hmmm...disappointed !

Feedback on furniture collection. I had some white good at home and planned to donate as I was moving house. I applied online for collection and later when I spoke to staff on phone I was told the collection van can come any part of the day between 7 to 5. I explained that I donâ??t have anyone living with me in this country and I am at work. I requested to inform me at least which part of the day Morning or Afternoon or Evening? But I had just rude response saying any time they may comeâ?¦ Finally I had to take a day off from work and wait for the van to comeâ?¦ The collection staffs are very rude. I donâ??t think why they cannot give a time slot on request.

We walked past recently and they had a three seater settee and two arm chairs for £40. Better than the Ikea settees we had at home. Brilliant value for money and I think about £30 for delivery. Very happy and a good cause.
