I came here to meet friends and had a few drinks and some food We were served firstly by Lydia who was very polite and helpful with our orders and then Darcey took over and gave us the same polite service and made us feel very welcome. They are both s credit to the pub and made us feel very welcome and I'm very happy with the service they both provided.

Our first visit for a really lovely Sunday roast. Portions were a really good size and both of us couldn?t manage a dessert after! Haven?t had such attentive service like we had today for a long time - special thank you to Maria who you can see really tries to go the extra mile. Thank you will be returning :)

Although our food was very satisfying we were very disappointed to see the pizzas and feather blade steak had been removed from the menu. ??

Always the best experience here. Staff are extremely accommodating, food is lovely and an overall wonderful atmosphere. 10/10 one of my favourite restaurants to visit. Even better that it is also dog friendly.

We visited on New Year?s Eve to find that there was a special menu that evening which was £65pp. We asked for the normal menu but were told they were only serving off the limited menu that evening. We were confused as there was no advertisement of the £65pp menu anywhere on the website or within our confirmation email when we booked. The waitress we had dealt with it excellently and we couldn?t fault her friendliness. She explained that others had also complained that on special occasions like Valentine?s Day and New Year?s Eve there were special menus but guests hadn?t been made aware of this in advance. The menu itself was very limited - a 3 course meal with 4 options for the starter, main and dessert, and a drink at midnight (long after we?d have left the restaurant!). Therefore we decided that we would prefer to try to find another restaurant (a bit of a challenge on NYE!). We had paid a £20 deposit but thankfully the manager refunded it. We have had lovely meals at the Four Oaks before so felt disappointed by the false advertising. We were really looking forward to our meal and this put a dampener on our evening. Hopefully nobody else will be stung with the same issue in the future.

Came to the Four Oaks for New Years Eve with my partner and dog and had an amazing time! We had a three course meal and all of the food was delicious. Our server, Darcy, was outstanding, friendly and made our entire evening so enjoyable!

Visted on NYE with my family and was absolutely delighted to have had Maria as our waitress all night. Nothing was too much, the drinks were flowing and even the dogs were cared for! Absolutely 5* experience! We will be back very soon! ???

We absolutely love going to The Four Oaks for different occasions and swear by the Sunday dinner. We decided to go for Christmas as a family of 3, so we booked well in advance. We were booked in for early afternoon and arrived on time and were seated straight away. We ordered our drinks and had preordered our starters, mains and puddings. It was a shame that our expectations of the day weren?t seen. Our starters came out more or less as soon as we sat down. This was before our drinks had arrived. We finished our starters and our drinks came just before the end of these. Our mains were then put down in front of us. The turkey and beef were lovely but the side dishes were not to the usual standard of The Four Oaks. Once we finished our mains, the puddings came straight out. We had hoped for a little time between the main and the puddings but we gave them our best shot. Needless to say we didn?t finish them. The bar area, throughout our time there (approx an hour) was very full and VERY loud. We felt it would have been much better for festive spirit to have closed the bar to the general public whilst people were eating. The price per person felt very hefty for the result of the day. In and out in an hour with no glass of fizz on arrival. It was £100 per adult and £50 per child. Next year we won?t be eating out, we will stay home and cook for ourselves. It?s a shame really as we had high hopes for our Christmas Day!

Building and atmosphere is great fun, but the food was beyond expensive and awful. I?m at a loss as to how they can call themselves a gastro pub! We had the sharing platter for 2 ? goodness it was a size 2 prawn, some jalopenos, a Cumberland sausage and some hummus. It was truly below par. I was actually shocked into writing a review!!
