We had a family meal at the Mount Pleasant today 2nd of August our order was taken by a trainee who really didn't know what he was doing so we made sure he had a order correctly they brought out the main courses first we asked where the combination starter was and they told us that we haven't ordered well we most certainly had so we said don't worry we will just eat our main meal 3 people in the group had mixed grill which when looking at it seemed ok however we again ordered medium for the meat to be cooked the steaks were cremated the gammon was so salty it was inedible however sausages weren't too bad and the chicken was edible the presentation was fine one of our party had the Quasimodo burger which is 2 burgers and chicken with cheese and onion onion rings on the top chips and a salad when it arrived there was just a burger no salad no onion rings no chips so at assumption was that the chef didn't particularly know what he was doing either overall experience was not very good would not recommend this place very very disappointing as it was a birthday meal

Excellent food for the price. Attentive staff are always helpful. Only complaint I would have is they reserve too many tables too early. Half the pub was reserved the last time I went in around midday, when I asked what time guests were arriving I was told 15:00 . Which meant people were walking g in ,but leaving as there were no free tables, which seemed crazy as half the table's were empty.

Great food at fantastic prices. Huge meals of good quality and some good drinks to go with them.
Look at the deals of the day before you decide when to go as they offer unbelievable value on the right day.
Can get very busy at peak times, so I suggest either booking a table or going at quieter times.

We had the 2 meals for 7.99 I had the cod it was massive and chips were good too... My partner had the steak n ale pie and that was big too and she said it was one of the better ones shes had... Great value
