Sainsbury's Local at Brindleyplace is in a good location, it's opposite the tram stop and a short walk away from several hotels, including the Hilton Garden Inn, Novotel and Leonardo Royal, making it an ideal place to grab drinks and snacks to take back to your hotel.The overall look/feel of the store is similar to any Sainsbury's Local, it was easy to find what I was looking for. The shelves were reasonably well stocked, and a Costa Express coffee machine served hot drinks only.It was easy enough to get in and out of the store in a couple of minutes, using the Sainsbury's Smartshop app which allows you to scan items as you're walking around the store, and then you can pay via the app, scan the QR code in the exit area and head out.The prices are inflated because it is a convenience store, if you have more time you may want to head to the larger Morrisons in Edgbaston which is only a short ride away on the tram.The security guard at the front of the store came across as rude and felt like he was trying to intimidate customers and just made me feel uncomfortable when I was doing nothing wrong.3* - Pretty typical Sainsbury's Local, very useful location for a convenience store is the highlight to write home about.

Disappointed by the on-the-go vegan options, I couldn?t find a single option. But had a good range in the free-from section.

Very bad customer service from customer assistant named Mo. While he was on the till and serving customers he was on the phone or I don?t know, and talking.

Rude customer assistant , while purchasing items the cashier was adamant my id was fake while I show her all the evidence it is my id and then the manager had to come over to resolve the issue. I visit the store again and the same cashier starts again claiming it is definitely not my id and it is fake without even checking any of the details and accuses me based off a photo.

I like shopping in the actual store on Brindley Place its cool but this will be my first and last time using deliveroo to get delivery from there. I got a message saying something essential I ordered is out of stock. Sainsbury's couldn't be bothered to actually indicate what items or item is /are out of stock so I could find an alternative. It takes me quite a while to do my shopping only for my order to be cancelled

The service on the self checkouts here is abysmal, the staff can see you need approval with your items but instead continue their conversations with colleagues or the security guard. I?ve looked around at 3 members of staff who can see the flashing light above my till & the way the look on their faces as if you?re causing them the biggest inconvenience of their lives is a joke. Do your job.

Shocking customer service.People who works there looking like it's a punishment for them to be there. Everyone is slow, security standing by the door talking to shop assistants or they are smoking outside with them. If you need an approval to get something through self checkout, you have to look through the whole shop for someone.One of the worst Sainsbury's ever?
