One night stay with continental breakfast included. Very modern and clean room.King size bed was really comfy. Plenty to choose from if you want a drink in your room. Little noise from people in the next room who were unable to close the door quietly. No noise from the pub below. Breakfast, which was continental, was lovely. Again, there was plenty of choice of cereals, fruit breads, crumpets, jams/marmalade juices.Drinks machine, which gave you a good choice of drinks.Plus nice big cups instead of silly little cups you carnt get a decent drink in. By far, a very nice little pub with lovely spacious rooms. Parking is across the road behind the Spar shop. Not very far. The only downside was that we looked at the menu prior to going down to the pub only to find out they have a new chef and they haven't updated the website, so it was completely different. Wanted a burger, and to be fair, they did sort one out for us both, but it just lacked a few trimmings like a slice of tomatoe bit of coleslaw an onion ring maybe? Burger few chips bit of salad. Tasted nice.We would have stayed in the bar a lot longer but was made to feel like we weren't welcome by a few of the regulars. Think they may have been upset at Wales getting the wooden spoon after losing earlier on in the day. England playing France, and every time they went past us, they made derogatory comments about England just loud enough for us to hear. Like banter ,and we wete looking forward to watching the game. I support all teams as I live in England. As they were obviously supporting France and had made the earlier comments, we didn't feel like we could enjoy the game in the bar. Yes, this is probably an isolated incident, but it did make us feel uncomfortable. If we choose to go there again, we will make sure there isn't any rugby on.

We decided to go for Sunday Lunch on the spur of the moment? so we thought we would try the Blue Lion. We booked a table with no problem, went for walk to the falls, (which is a hop and a skip out of the village) before arriving at about 1:00pm. The pub was quiet but welcoming, and the staff friendly and courteous. We were shown to a table in the little dining room, and ordered our food. Traditional Sunday lunch was our choice. Now this can be quite the test? as most carveries are cynical and of poor quality. We needn?t of worried at the Blue Lion the food was perfect. Generous portions of perfectly cooked beef, topped by a crispy Yorkshire pudding semi filled with crispy onion, perfect roast potatoes and some stuffing, parsnips, sprouts, red cabbage and sweet carrots. All the vegetables were cooked to perfection. We would thoroughly recommend the Blue Lion to anyone looking for a quiet well cooked meal, and a warm friendly atmosphere.

Pub really cosy and friendly . Was made to feel very welcome however food nothing like on review pictures. Salmon portion dry and small. Pie I ordered tasty but dry needed to come with gravy which we did come after asking but meal was nearly eaten by time it arrived .Sorry will not be rushing back for the food again.

Came here for a meal with friends. I ordered the hunters chicken which was charcoal to death. Dry as anything no bbq sauce like stated. The best part of my meal was the gravy off my friend?s meal? We were shown to table and left to it not checked on to even raise a complaint, it felt like we were a hindrance to the staff which was a shame. However the appetisers we had were quite nice. Wont be rushing back.

Cramped overcrowded pub with insufficient toilet facilities. Not a good selection of ale. The food was OK but took one hour 45 minutes to arrive, I almost left.

Food quality was great. But when coming to pay there were no staff behind the counter for a good ten minutes and the washer upper wasn't trying to find anyone.

Stayed here for one night in August with friends after enjoying a day on Lake Bala. Booked two beautiful double rooms - really comfortable, super clean and well decorated. We also had a lovely meal - 2 delicious fish & chips and 2 burgers. All homemade. The continental breakfast (included in the really reasonable room rate) was really brilliant. All laid out ready for self service and kept us going all day. What really made our stay was the wonderful welcome from Donna. She was so friendly and helpful, even arranging for us to store our bikes inside. The family atmosphere of the pub was lovely. Would really recommend a stay here - will definitely come again when we?re in the area. Thank you!

Staff were friendly and food was nice. Disappointed that the cocktails were from a premixed bottle but other than that we had a pleasant evening there. Location is lovely and parking over the road which was handy.

Lovely small town pub in North Wales. Very comfortable and well presented room, very welcoming. You get what you pay for. This is great value for the money.
