Got a decent selection of stuff, but the staff were not very friendly. Got a lot of attitude when I inquired about the new rules in place when they asked to charge a card payment fee when it's under a certain amount. I mentioned that I thought I saw somewhere that it was against the law to but in no way was accusing them I just simply asked if it was a thing. Not a fan of hostility like that but maybe it's just me ????

K&C Stores is the shop that you pop to when you realise that you've forgotten something but you can't be bothered to go all the way back down to the supermarket. It's not a particularly brilliant shop and it doesn't offer many special groceries, for people who want to buy local, for example. The exception to this is the penny sweets. Not that they cost a penny any more, but they do take you back to your childhood immediately, right down to the little white paper bags you carry to the counter. The main problem with the shop is the queuing system... There is no queuing system. Three aisles converge at the counter, where there are only two servers, meaning service is slow and uneven. Nonetheless, it does accept cards over £5 and does offer all you could really need. Milk, cheese, vegetables, fruit, dried food, over the counter medicines, cigarettes and all associated paraphanalia. You can also top up your electricity meters at the till. There is a convenient cash point just outside the stall which would have boosted the rating to a 4, had it not just started charged £1.50 for a transaction.
