“We enjoyed our stay. The family room we were in had plenty of room, even with the extra bed. The room was very clean spotless and nicely decorated. The only downside was the room we were in was at the front of the hotel so above the outside tables at the front of the hotel. This made it quite noisy until the bar shut, however, it was a lovely evening so there were lots of people outside. I suspect this would not be an in colder weather!”

“What an amazing hotel! I booked a night in the Presidential Suite for my girlfriend's birthday and because I had a little question to ask her... I let the Hilton team in on the secret and they prepared the most magical stay ever. The room was beautifully decorated with rose petals and a balloon and the table adorned with Champagne on ice and some delicious cakes. With or without the decoration, the room was simply stunning with incredible panoramic views. Spacious and opulent, the only regret was having to leave the next morning. Another amazing surprise arranged by the team was a lovely balloon and flower arrangement and a reserved table for breakfast the next day. I can't thank everyone enough for the VIP treatment we received and the amazing memories created. By the way, she said yes!”

“My first visit in a few years. Stayed in room 306 on 25 and 26 September - a spacious and comfortable room. Unsure if the air-con was functional or not - I suspect not but fortunately the weather conditions were fairly moderate. Good on site parking and friendly, efficient staff at reception. Didn’t use the restaurant or bar on this occasion but looked busy - had breakfast on the second morning - very pleasant but a shame it wasn’t served in the former breakfast area which was a much more atmospheric area which showcased some of the original features of the building.”

“The staff were friendly and helpful. A very clean room and a very good size. The bathroom/shower was spotless and looked very fresh and recently refurbished. A really comfortable bed. It was great to have use of the pool, sauna and steam room. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.”

“Stayed here before and decided to book again. We got a free upgrade with our room and had food both nights in the restaurant. “24people arrived on a group tour visit to Cardiff check in was flawless Room was adequate but a little dated and the bathroom was a tight squeeze but over all the hotel was clean Breakfast/ evening meal enjoyable and the staff in the restaurant and bar area very professional Advice it’s a card only payment in the bar Fantastic location for all the sites”

“Excellent place to stay. Seafront. Very friendly. Lovely rooms. Good breakfast. We had two rooms here and both were good. Right next to the sea. Parking is not ideal though immediately around the property.”

“Forest Haven is a serene spot for picnics and relaxation. The towering trees provide ample shade, and the babbling brook adds to the tranquility. It's an ideal place to escape the city and enjoy nature's beauty.”

“Great. Good location. Clean. Comfortable bed. Plenty of room. Fantastic breakfast with plenty of choice. Friendly staff would definitely use again. Only issue was automatic check in wouldn’t let you book in early as we had a wedding to go to at 15:30 and needed to get ready earlier than the booking in time.”

“The room was clean and comfortable and the reception staff were exceptionally nice and helpful. No problems at all. There was plenty of parking and it was dog-friendly, as I needed. The room had all the facilities I needed.”

“Excellently located, shops, nightlife just around the corner and close to rail links.The hotel was well kept, clean and tidy. Housekeeping was on point, rooms well looked after.The buffet breakfast was very good, well stocked, fresh with hot and cold choices.Continental and English are all available, staff on hand to help.Staff are very helpful and great with advice and where to go, also helpful in planning your stay.Always smiling and on hand.Overall well worth staying, comparatively priced, if not greatly priced.”

“The hotel its self is fine the location is great the room was clean, its boiling hot and a fan was provided the staff are friendly, the 1 problem was the car park it was a bit difficult to find we had to go in to the restaurant area and ask where to go they directed us round the corner to the back of the hotel other than that it was a lovely stay.”

“Took my mother-in-law for food for her birthday. We had carvery which was really nice, I had parsley sauce on mine. Staff were very polite and the carvery server was very funny with the mother-in-law as she wanted a small Yorkshire pudding and gave her what looked like a pancake. We had a giggle. Food tasted lovely. Thank you.”

“Stayed 1 month for work, rooms are nice but TV and wifi can be frustrating, breakfast definetly the week link in the all stay, can vary a lot in quality from mediocre to unacceptable when the hotel is busy with group tours.I had a lovely afternoon tea on the terrace overlooking the lake.Staff generally very nice. .. With one or two exceptions.Swimming pool is ok, same goes for gym and sauna.Overall an ok stay.”

“Reasonable price, clean and comfy rooms. The team is professional, helpful and cheerful. The hotel location is fantastic, an active street, maybe a bit noisy, but very close to shops, pubs, restaurants, the castle, the stadium and the city hall. Better than some 4-star hotels.”

“Maggie at the reception is amazing went beyond her role and is an asset to the company. There was a mix up with booking which meant I had no room she made sure she looked after me and didnt leave me homeless for the night as I was down for a business trip. What an amazing women she is.... this is a snippet of the issue as took nearly an hr to sort out but we couldn't have done it without MAGGIE- WELL DONE FOR YOUR SERVICE”

“We were slightly worried about staying here based on some very negative reviews but needn't have worried. We went to the wrong one initially, and easily done apparently, but the staff were lovely, and one of them walked with us in the right direction, so we found the right one quickly and easily. We were greeted by Amanda, who is an absolute credit to this company. She was super helpful, friendly, and efficient. The lobby and hallways were spotlessly clean. Our room was a family room as it was the only type left. It was on the 3rd floor. Again, it is spotlessly clean with crisp white bedding, plenty of pillows, and extra blankets. A good hot shower (stayed in 5* hotels with worse) and lots of fluffy white towels. The room had a double and two single beds for children, and there was plenty of room to walk around. A very cheap stay for a family with young children. Now to the noise. It's a city!!! Yes, it's right by some noisy bars, but put in some ear plugs and sleep soundly. We did!! Also worth mentioning night staff were super helpful to helping us navigate the vending machine after a few drinks!! Definitely would stay again. ?”
