They called to cancel my mot and service 2 days before it was due to be in leaving me in a difficult situation and didn't offer any help to resolve it. Not reliable and wouldn't book with them agiain

Dreadful service. Rude, bullying manager who talked over myself and my wife.Didn?t want to listen.Had a clutch replaced there as they offered a two year warranty. The previous clutch that was on the car when we bought it had lasted at least 4 years. The one fitted by Halfords failed after just 18 months. The same driver, driving the same way.My son took the car in and mistakenly said the clutch had been fitted by Celtic Tyres. Hearing this the manager said it was a faulty part or misfitted as should not have failed in just 18 months and just 5000 miles.I called him later and explained it was fitted by Halfords and he immediately said ?driver fault? and warranty wouldn?t cover it.Every conversation after that he stressed the warranty would not cover it.As I said, the reasonableness test would be a 50 year old woman who had no previous issues with the clutch on the car when we bought it for 4 years and 30000 miles.Now the clutch fails after 1.5 years and 5000 miles.The warranty offered by Halfords is a waste of money as Halfords decide if Halfords misfitted it or not. The part is sent to the supplier LUK to analyse and decide if LUK sent a dodgy part or not. Why would I believe this is fair? Why no impartial decision?When my son picked the car up he was told it was ?driver fault?. But it had not gone away for analysis yet so the decision was predetermined by the manager.What a disgraceful way to treat customers

Could not diagnose the suspension problem, refitted the anti roll links twice and the noise came back after 2 days each time then refused to acknowledge their fault, formal complaint on going

Very disappointed.We had an interim service carried out by Bridgend Halfords only to find our van was leaking oil from the new filter they had replaced. Engine oil warning light came on as it had dumped most of its oil on the road.Happy to give them a second chance to redeem themselves as sometimes these things happen ,we took it back and they replaced oil filter only to leave the lower engine tray cover loose with nearly all of the bolts /screws missing .Not impressed and will not be returning.

Halfords Bridgend charged my girlfriend over £200 for spark plug change which cost £50 (parts and labour) at the previous garage she used before moving.I checked with another local garage after this and they said this was unbelievable, and that Halfords Bridgend has a bad reputation for things like this.Really disappointed considering this is a chain of garages and while you may expect to pay slightly more you don't expect to be ripped off.

Needed some repairs on my car due to a battery light indicator error, had the alternator changed at a high price at halfords professional recommendation. When the issue returned, I was told it was an electrical problem with the car, and they could not fix it, advising me to find an auto electrician myself. Alternator fitted was essentially pointless. After some discussion, halfords did agree to refund half my money, not the ideal solution as I paid for essentially nothing, but at least they were willing to do that. Could not really recommend based on my experience.

Seems ok, prices can be a bit steep in comparison to other places, but I guess it?s all relative, service is decent the gent on the desk is always pleasant and helpful too. Parking around here is awful though, but I suppose can?t be helped.

Excellent first class service, Joshua the manager was very professional and friendly, also the technician that sorted out my sons merc was very knowledgeable and he took time to explain everything he did to sort out the problem i will definitely use again.Thank you so much boys

Halfords never let me down to be honest. It's very rare I ever pop in for something and they haven't got it. Then staff are always friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble for them. I hope they keep up the good work and I look forward to seeing them all again soon enough.

They did the MOT on my car. It failed on something minor, I got it fixed, took it for retest. Boom, done. Nice and easy, friendly and helpful staff. Will use from now on since my old regular garage shut down I was sceptical about using a franchise garage but it couldn't have been easier. No cost run ups like I got from Kwik Fit (£470 for spark plugs and coils).

Had my car towed in the weekend before christmas for clutch issues, still awaiting news on issues and what date I can return to Bridgend from Staffordshire to retrieve a fixed vehicle. It has been there for 18 days so far.Service: General repairs & maintenance
