Great place for a carvery, meat isn't dry like in some places, massive Yorkshire puddings, good choice of veg and nice thick gravy. Waitresses even ask if you have any food allergies before you go up just incase (Mac and cheese no good for lactose sufferers)

This place has had its day! Came here on a Sunday evening at 8pm, they had obviously been very busy throughout the day, but the state of the restaurant was just unacceptable. The table you stand at to wait for a table was stacked with dirty glasses and rubbish - such a nice welcome! Walking to our table there was mess all over the floor which never got cleaned and the carpets were beyond worn. When seated we were told someone would be over to wipe the table; this never happened. My mum was looking at the vegetarian carvery alternatives and wanted to know what exactly was in one particular dish. The chef came out and said he couldn't say exactly what is in it- only that it is not soya and then proceeded to just read the menu to her! If people with allergies or intolerances are visiting they need to know what is in the food! The food itself was very poor. This place really needs a good refurbishment. Won't be rushing back anytime soon.

The food was just ok overall, the green beans were way overcooked like mush, cauli was too hard the rest of the meal was warm apart from the roasties,my partner who doesn't mind warm food said even for his standards he found it too cold ,I only like hot food so for me I was

Nothing great. Toilets disgusting, have been for years. There were dirty plates piled on the bar. I visited at 4.50pm and most of the alternative options were not available. I understand there was an offer on the day we visited so surely you would have taken this into consideration when purchasing stock for that day/week.

The food is what you would expect at Toby's. And at a good price. The only thing g that lets to do is that it needs decorating, windows repaired, leaking roof. And a new carpet or a good cleaning. ?

I would put less than one star if I could, there was a little lady in front jenna I?m pretty sure her name, she was horrible to staff and customer, we booked for 3 pm and wasn?t seen too till half past, when we asked about our table she replied bluntly and said they where busy there was a huge line coming out of the door, other people waiting aswell, we didn?t have our food in the end we walked out because the attitude was awful

I literally cannot fault the service or the food. Everything was lovely, even though you could see how busy everything was on Mother's day every single member of staff was beyond friendly and accommodating. Nothing felt like it was too much trouble. I worried the food wouldn't be hot but it was. Even the people carving the meat were incredibly accommodating and friendly and I have to say the food was delicious!! I never give a 10 out of 10 but on this occasion there isn't any other score I'd give!!

It's a Toby Carvery, you know what you're getting in terms of food quality. The meats are always well prepared and portions generous, the sides are a little lacklustre and perhaps a shade worse than other Toby's in the area.Service from the staff is good too, they're very friendly and helpful, and generally just efficient. The problem with this particular Toby's is its interior. Carpets and seats are completely worn through, with underlay and adhesive visible throughout the entire venue along the main walkways. Chairs are tired, heavily stained, and many ripped. There's even mould growing in the corners on exterior walls, which isn't good enough. This place is in such dire need of a refurbishment.
