Fredwells Llantwit Major - I highly recommend this place as an excellent venue for an intimate gathering.\\nBoth Maria and Lewis created a stunning grazing table which looked and tasted absolutely gorgeous. Both were extremely friendly and helpful and nothing was too\\nmuch trouble. Beth who I liaised with was great with the communication in the run up to the surprise party. The decor inside is very stylish and they didn?t mind me adding some of my own decorations which complimented the room nicely. Thank you all xx

First the positives, a gorgeous atmosphere with friendly staff and relaxing aesthetics.Unfortunately the food did not match the high standards set by the decor or price range. The croissants, of which we tried 3 on a Saturday morning, were stale and absent the flaky lightness of fresh pastries. The biggest disappointment however was the chicken and waffles from the brunch menu. The "fried" chicken was of the birds eye frozen variety, lacking flavour or texture. The other breakfasts being served looked excellent and this only added to the sense that the dish did not live up to the high standards that Fredwrell set for themselves and considering the price charged, leaves a butter taste.

Nice spot. Took Texan visitors for breakfast in December. Despite previously booking online, we weren?t expected and a messy table was cleared from the evening before while we waited. Only boiled eggs were on the menu with breakfast dishes (even with the English breakfast option ??) and the kitchen refused to serve eggs any other way which was disappointing. Our Texan guests found the breakfast burrito menu item with boiled eggs most amusing ?Nevertheless, a nice boiled egg breakfast. The chap on the door was really incredibly helpful, especially when one of our party was not too well on leaving (not from the compulsory boiled eggs, I hasten to add).Thank you for replying. You open at 09.30. We arrived just slightly earlier than our booking at 10.00. As I said, we were unexpected, despite having booked online. ?The Breakfast? on your menu would be called an ?English Breakfast? anywhere else, except for the compulsory boiled eggs, of course. The flat out refusal from your kitchen there to cook eggs any other way than boiled was disappointing (?how difficult is that??) ?but, as you wish .. ?????.As I said ? nice place (needed a bit of a tidy up from the evening before to sit our party when we arrived well after opening), nice breakfast and wonderful assistance from the chap there ..we couldn?t praise him enough. We?ve thorough enjoyed breakfast at your Stalling Down cafe where they were only too willing to do eggs how we?d like, despite having the same boiled egg menu items as Pant Wilkin (The Breakfast, Breakfast Burrito, etc.) on their menu ?.?.Sorry ?. Not meaning to be super-critical here but the tone and inaccuracy of your response didn?t help ?..

Breakfast took a while to arrive and it was a little cold. The only eggs available were boiled coated in a hollandaise sauce which seemed strange for a main breakfast. We did ask if they could do scrambled or poached (when we left) and they said no. The decor is nice but we wont be returning.

What a delightful place! Food is generous, a cosy atmosphere with a terrific view, dog friendly and the staff are exceptional. Accidentally walked into the kitchen looking for the toilet and I can attest that it?s very clean too (in the brief moment I saw it). Lovely owners.Update:I had the Fredwell Sandwich, my Son had the Club Baguette and my Wife had the Halloumi Salad. All exceptional.Vegetarian options: More than half of the menu is vegetarianKid-friendliness: Noticed a baby seat.Parking: 50+ spacesWheelchair accessibility: One small ramp, large toiletDietary restrictions: We had one child with coeliac and was accommodated

The menu is short which is good as you can choose easily. The breakfasts are great and the feta on french toast is delicious. The pancakes and waffles will always be a good shout too.

Food and coffee was great, as were the cakes. The staff were really nice and it was a lovely place to go.

We went to the New Llantwit shop quite a lot of the menu was unavailable but what we had was nice although I did feel my avocado on toast was too expensive ad it wasn't even a whole boiled egg on top just 4 slices

We had the most delicious brunch ever. It's a beautiful place to be in with friends or family. Very cozy cafe and patisserie. Delicious cake and tasty food. Then you can go for a nice walk. It's a place where you always want come back just to relax . Highly recommended at all. Well done guys ??

Went as a table of six for breakfast, the layout and decor is very stylish and nice atmosphere. Also dog friendly. Our food however unfortunately was disappointing and overpriced for the quality and presentation, £12 for poached eggs and bacon, and the eggs where undercooked and half the plate was undressed salad leaves. Half of us and finished before the rest of the party had their food, and we where they only group there. When I asked to change my eggs they did do straight away, but they still weren?t great. We shared a portion of waffles which where very tasty and great selection of coffee. Great potential, hope this constructive criticism helps.

A really lovely spot, with great coffee, friendly baristas, top notch service and a wonderful atmosphere. The sort of place where you can either pop in for an hour or even stay all day. The outside area is beautiful and inside is invitingly decorated with comfortable seating. I organised a Zokit business mixer in the new event space, which is ideal for a range of different uses. I can also highly recommend the halloumi salad and chocolate cake!
