I could, spend all day walking around in the, shop and the garden area. A good range of plants for sale. Garden ornaments, fountains as, well as a good, selection of gravel and, slate, paving slabs. Sheds seats. Then you have tools, paint, wallpaper. Bathrooms , kitchens. The list is, endless.

This is a complaint about B and Q Sunderland, about the terrible customer service I just experienced. I was waiting at the kitchen bathroom counter section to ask about a plastic mirrored bathroom wall unit you advertised as it had a price label saying "please ask a member of staff".I waited a while as someone was getting served. A staff member came up to the counter looked at me started typing on a computer. Another member of staff appeared, wandered into the back then started helping the other member of staff? I'm still waiting? The man at the computer takes a call for another customer even though I'm waiting. He then goes off to help them?Meanwhile the other 2 members of staff are both going to help the customer find some hinges and asks me "to wait one second"?After waiting a long time I get asked what I want. I ask about the bathroom wall unit. I get asked "why is there no price". I say "it has a label to asks you to ask a member of staff".She then goes on to tell me they think it's out of stock. I ask for a price expecting I can get it at another B and Q. Then get told it's not stocked anymore but its £20.She started to walk off. And I say "I would advise you take the label off saying ask a member of a staff if you don't have it" . She says "okay" and walks off!!I was waiting 20 mins for nothing because of a label someone didn't take off. It gets better though.I buy a few more items and go back 10 mins later as there was another wall unit I was interested in. Guess what, the wall unit not stocked still has a "ask a member of staff label next to it."I waited ages and it was a total waste of time and the staff didn't have the common sense to take the price label off asking you to "ask a member of staff about it" even pointed it out.Terrible customer service.

unfortunately you are forced to use selfcheck out.it's your job to serve your customers.is it great customer service giving us a machine? who thought this would be a good idea?I find it pretty ignorant.why should I do your job????won't ever return unless there are at least the same amount of real people serving as there are machines.

Sadly this store is now too small to have anything but the basics. Gone in several times only to find they don't stock items that you can find in other stores. You'd be better off heading to the Washington store really.

Travelled 22 miles to collect an item (swing seat cover that came compact) as they couldn't deliver. While their I spent 10 minutes finding the other items I needed, super glue (small bottle) and an end cap, to then be told at checkout I needed ID. I apologised as I didn't have ID but understand they have to follow process. I explained my hubby was in the car with the baby as he was napping and would send him in as he had his wallet. Hubby went in to be told he'd have to source the items himself again. The woman was rude and, after initially ignoring both of us, very unhelpful, didn't even direct my hubby to where the items were. He ended up leaving without purchasing the items and we've vowed to never shop at B and Q again as you can get most things online now. Customer service at it's worse, not helping the retail crisis. 16/08/2023@16:50 (sale assistant had short dark hair).
