although it may not be known to the worker i actually have hearing difficulties therefore i was talking loudly on the phone because i can?t hear myself correctly. i was minding my business not swearing, or being rude and was told to be quiet by a member of the team. i felt very humiliated. i do understand they may not realise i have hearing loss, and it may have been annoying to listen to me. i am sorry for that. but i still felt it was very rude and inconsiderate. i was only talking to my mum, saying nothing inappropriate and minding my own business.i talk at that volume all the time and usually people are considerate and thoughtful enough to let me be. i just think it was very unkind and frankly unnecessary.i i feel so mortified. i apologise if my loudness seemed inconsiderate but that is out of my control.i am very upset from this experience. i will not be returning again. i was so shocked i didn?t think to explain but simply left as quickly as i could. it felt really humiliating.i hope in the future they could be more sensitive to the fact that some people have hearing loss.

Typical city centre Sainsbury. A lot of the self service tills seemed broken..

Rude staff. People are always very kind and considerate of my hearing difficulties and don?t mind if I speak too loudly at times. I have also never felt so strongly that I have bothered to write a negative review. This has all changed at Northumberland Street?s Sainsburys.
As I spoke on the phone to my family, at the self checkout I was approached by a member of staff and told to shut up. I felt publicly humiliated. I understand she may not know I have hearing loss but I still think it?s important to be nice to customers even if you think they?re being loud. I was not swearing, or being rude but simply minding my business talking on the phone as I did my shopping.
I didn?t even realise I was being loud, due to my hearing problems. I was shocked and confused.
Even though I am sure there are staff members who are kind, I will never return. I hope that staff member learns to be more considerate and that not everyone is lucky enough to have good hearing and hear themselves. Stores where there are background noises are where I struggle most. I am really upset by this.

Some of the security follow you around while browsing or obviously keep an eye on you, especially if you go in with a bag, made to feel like a criminal, one of the worst shops for this.
