“Hi I just wanted to say thankyou to the lovely member of staff from the Wrekenton store who went above and beyond on Christmas Eve to help me.Long story short- but had it really been a tough day with a 111 call in the morning as daughter was ill with a fever and sinusitis. I was very behind and was rushing around trying to fill a basket with last min things. I’d been a few places dropping off cards etc and I was a bit of a hot mess and jad left the children at home. When I got to the check out I realised I had lost my phone and means to pay. I was upset and ruffling through the car to try to find my phone. When I got back he had paid the bill in a lovely gesture of good will and refused to take the payment. I did eventually find my phone but it really made my day -he still insisted that he had payed.I offered a hug ( sorry) He knew nothing of my circumstances (which truthfully have been awful since my husband passed ) I was clearly in a flap and feeling a bit emotional at this time of year and he kindly stepped in.Thank you kind Sir, you are a true gentleman and a good Samaritan.”

“Great for a wide variety of foods, frozen, drinks, sweets and some kitchen goods. All at a good price. There is a large car park at the front but you can't drop at anyone off at the door. There is a slopping step to get into the shop which is a problem for wheelchairs.”

“Excellent choice. Friendly staff. Good prices. Far better than the Co OP over the road. Given the choice of waiting in a queue of at least seven to pay for my shopping with one staff on till while 3 more stand around doing nothing and going to Heron's where the standard of service is excellent and the variety and price of goods is infinitely better, I don't even consider going anywhere else.”

“Title: A Veggie Paradise: The Perfect Market for All Plant-Based Needs!Rating: ★★★★★ (5/5)Review:I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Veg Market, and I must say it exceeded all my expectations! As a dedicated vegan, finding a one-stop shop for all my plant-based needs can be challenging, but this market truly blew me away.First and foremost, the selection of fresh produce at Veg Market is simply outstanding. The vibrant colors and variety of fruits, vegetables, and herbs were a sight to behold. Every item looked incredibly fresh, and the market's commitment to offering organic and locally sourced options made me feel even better about my purchases. Whether you're looking for common produce or more unique and exotic ingredients, Veg Market has it all. What impressed me most about this market was its commitment to providing a wide range of plant-based alternatives. From mock meats and plant-based dairy products to vegan snacks and pantry staples, Veg Market has an extensive selection that caters to various dietary preferences and restrictions. It was refreshing to see so many options in one place, making it easy to find alternatives for my favorite non-vegan products. The staff at Veg Market were not only knowledgeable but also incredibly friendly and helpful. They were eager to assist with any questions I had, providing recommendations and sharing their own experiences with different products. It was evident that they were passionate about plant-based living and genuinely cared about their customers' needs.Furthermore, the atmosphere of the market was inviting and uplifting. The clean and well-organized layout made it a pleasure to navigate through the aisles, and the positive energy from fellow shoppers created a sense of community. It's evident that Veg Market has created a space where plant-based enthusiasts can connect, learn, and support one another.Lastly, I must mention the competitive prices at Veg Market. Given the quality and range of products available, I was pleasantly surprised by how reasonable the prices were. It's reassuring to know that eating a plant-based diet doesn't have to be expensive, thanks to this market's commitment to affordability. In conclusion, Veg Market is an absolute gem for anyone seeking a wide array of fresh produce, plant-based alternatives, and a welcoming community. The exceptional selection, knowledgeable staff, inviting atmosphere, and affordable prices make it a true paradise for veggie lovers like myself. I highly recommend paying a visit to this market—I guarantee you'll leave with a cart full of delicious, sustainable, and compassionate choices.”

“Used to be a good place to shop but now prices are going up daily...starting to rip of people like all other stores. Its a shame because people kind of relied on stores like Aldi.?”

“Long haul driver here. Travelled from north of Edinburgh all the way down the A1. I have IBS and it really badly kicked in near here. After explaining my predicament, These kind folks were so helpful in helping me sort myself out and I couldn't be more grateful as the pain I was having was so uncomfortable.”

“Straightforward shopping experience using self-checkout. Look out for cut price deals available to users of Nectar card or app. There is also a Sainsbury's petrol station at the site, where you can use the Nectar card to build yp your points. Petrol prices are often slightly lower than at other local petrol stations that support Nectar cards.”

“We've been coming here now for over 5 years and it's always bn a pleasant trip from the first time we walked in, we felt welcome. Its a smaller branch, so this makes it feel like you get to know the staff and vice versa. The staff are always polite and friendly, very professional too. They work hard and the store is well stocked. There's always someone on hand to help with self service if necessary or give advice. They care about their customers. Always efficient and helpful. ?There's hot bacon sandwiches available early on, nice fresh buns. My husband enjoys a sausage sandwich too. ? Hot cooked chickens daily. Always good offers on. At Christmas time, useful for the box of chocolate deals/offers and wine offers/deals.Good parking spaces available, cashpoint too. Newspapers, magazines, flowers in store. All u need.We also like the fact that there's the Asda card now, I'm saving for Christmas ? and it's a good incentive. The staff here, helped me set it up with the App on my phone. All good.”
