I went there without any booking appointment in advance. Surprisingly, a lady (I forgot her name but she is from Nepal )and a manager name Richard help me out to sort out all the problems, eg. my two girls saving account, report lost of her debit card, install the Barclay apps into their phone.I heard the manager told his staff (the Nepal lady), we need to try our best to help while they are here...there is no point for them to book an appointment and come again, as this can all be done right away.Thanks to these 2 amazing Barclays staffs.

Similar experience to others. Was asked to "pop into a branch" with personal ID as it needed updating because I had banked with them so long. They've closed my local branch so had to drive to Guildford - 50 mins round trip during my working day. Got there to be told I needed an appointment. The receptionist was really quite unfriendly and clearly couldn't give 2 hoots. Offered an appointment 30 minutes later - they couldn't understand that I had to get back to work and couldn't wait. Truly awful customer service.

Avoid Barclays at all cost. Had my main account there for 12 years and it is an absolute disgrace, so glad I left.I happened to get a credit card with them last year though, unassuming the lack of improvement since my years with them. Oh boy, I should not have.Barclays as an organisation is unable to resolve their errors. Leave all hope behind and prepare to spend long hours on the phone without a resolution to their own shortcomings.If you bank with Barclays and they mess up (they will), you have a PROBLEM. The fully automated system has huge holes and no one there with any power over the flawed system.The extra irony is when they advertise jobs at Barclays as you are trying to get through to somebody. *facepalm*As a last resort customer service tells me to go into a branch. Drove all the way to Guildford pushing my meetings out of the way for this.There?s now a receptionist you have to get through to see an actual bank employee, otherwise can only give you an appointment in the future, like a dentist. Why have a massive branch on Guildford High Street only for machines?? Why customer service tells clients to pop into a branch when clearly isn?t setup for this? They cannot and not willing to help whatsoever. Im only trying to resolve their own error.Please do yourself a favour, don?t bank with Barclays.

Horrible customer service from Jon and a girl in blue that were working last Friday and Monday in Barclays in Guildford.I asked for an appointment to open a join account and move my savings. I tried online but I can?t open it because I have a long name, and they said I needed to call to the phone number that they provided. Both very free at that moment, the bank was empty. I asked them that I needed an appointment on Saturday and they said will be fine. I called the number and they said no appointments on Saturday in Guildford. When I returned on Monday both weren?t professional when I asked them why they gave me the phone number if I can?t have an appointment on Saturday, the looked each other and laugh.I ended leaving. I will not open an account in this bank and definitely this team of ?customers services? need a training about how to talk to the customers.

We booked an appointment to find out about our mortgage affordability, they told us as we didn't find a property yet, we can't speak with a mortgage advisor. Asked us just to do it from the phone, we have explained that we have different circumstances on income and the help of a mortgage advisor would actually help. After the lady gave us the wrong email ( to highligh that she typed it in my phone) to leave our details, another lady called us and didn't even explain any information. I got only "any other questions, call customer service".Absolutely unprofessional!!

Last week Monday I was asked to go into to my nearest branch to complete a transaction, which is Barclays Guildford. On arrival there was a que, a lady greeted us and asked the purpose of my visit and then managed my expectations by confirming that it was likely that I could be seen in 45 minutes to an hour. The branch was busy and the staff were taking the enquiries in their stride. Within 30 minutes I was greeted by Rekha with a smile, apologised for the wait.Rekha was fully engaged in my enquiry, was not distracted by the que of people behind me. Made me feel that my enquiry was important to her and the branch and was prepared to go out of her way to complete my transaction.A big thank you to Rekha for the friendly manner in which she conducted herself.

worst online banking service ever I have POA for my husband and I have enough problems without having to deal with Barclays bank. I know so many people who complain about barclays and so many people who have removed their accounts from Barclays I would do the same if I was not coping with POA and I am terrified as to what Barclays would do with the systems i have set up. I can't speak badly enough of Barclays

The best customer service! Had a week of hell with a mortgage lender not accepting a yearly statement online so had to rush in on my first day off this morning to the bank begging for help and I was greeted by a lovely guy at the top of the stairs ready to assist! His colleague equally as kind and friendly, printed my statements there and then and changed my online settings to weekly. Can?t thank you both enough! In and out in 5 minutes completely painless! Very thankful!!
