Fantastic service from the Stoke staff yesterday. So helpful and friendly; completely different experience to other banks/building societies that we visited. Opened two accounts without any issues and cannot praise them enough. The building is modern, inviting and well laid out. Thanks to all.

I had a lot of money withdrawn on a few occasions, fraudently, didn't want to know because I gave my sister my pin num, I would imagine that most people give them to family members good excuse isn't it! 0/10 the staff leave a lot to be desired, hanley economic castle. Went in to switch to another mortgage rate and at first we were unsure and confused on what to do but we were really happy and impressed with how quick and smooth the process was, the mortgage advisor Paul lockett was very polite and helpful and explained everything clearly and in detail. We eventually found the rate perfect for us and even found our home insurance is a lot cheaper with nationwide. Happy and glad we stayed with nationwide ?

I don?t need to visit my branch often but on the occasions I have staff have been excellent and I have always come away with a successful outcome. I have been a Nationwide customer for nigh on four decades now and that statement is accurate for all that time.

Closed every time I try to call after work. With a 16:30 closing it seems to only cater for the elderly with time on their hands or those that use internet banking. They don't cater for the hard working middle earner.

Bit disappointing, nice new branch with only 1 cash machine inside. One outside on Main Street where you can?t put instant cash deposit. Old model where you need to put on envelope.Modern cash machine with instant cash deposit inside branch is only one, and you need to Waite as usually 3-4 people waiting to use it .I mentioned this to one of the staff but seems they not interested.Otherwise nice small branch.

Really disappointing! Checked the Nationwide website re making an appointment to open an account for my newborn - nothing states that an appointment is needed, made a special journey, newborn in toe (factored in feeding times etc) only to be told in branch that I have to make an appointment!!!! - the cashier stations were manned and two other staff were "floating" and dealing with customers as they come in - am I not a customer that has walked in and needs assistance?? Puzzled!Nobody then attempted to help me arrange an appointment!! Frustrating.

absolutely useless told me that thay had orderd me a new card found out over 2 weeks later that no card was orderd made a complaint which is being investigated, place not fit for purpose, Newcastle branch is very helpful and friendly
