The worst Travelodge i have ever stayed in, terrible location, no food available except cornflakes in a box for breakfast. There was however a lovely young girl on reception who was really helpful and knowledgeable about goid places to eat locally . Give her promotion and a payrise . She stopped me leaving in search of a better placeRooms: Ok but water coldNearby activities: Nothing i know ofSafety: SufficientWalkability: Nowhere to walkFood & drinks: None in the hotelNoteworthy details: Just find a better hotel in a nicer location

First & importantly? Demi & Evie. What service-excellence role models are these two young professionals ! Demi greeted us with an energy, intent and positivity that was literally remarkable and thereafter gave us tip top recommendations regarding dining options. She listened to our requirements and was considered in her response. 10/10. Such a great attitude. And Evie today couldn?t have been more engaged and determined in helping out with some email issues. Again, a terrific attitude. In the background was Kelly who was equally friendly. The place itself is somewhat tired and in need of a total refresh. But value wise, at £50 for the room, you can?t expect too much. But things like chairs at the back of reception that need either chucking or upholstering are unsightly and perhaps symptomatic of a business whose profits are squeezed and who values need reviewing. Directions to the place are abysmal and once found, going out and getting back again is confusing, particularly given that you?re somewhat locked in by the fast moving A38 ! So stand out service. OK rooms. Senior management need to do better.Rooms: Comfortable beds.

Hated it - everything felt a bit grubby and I didn?t feel particularly safe staying here. Went to sleep as soon as I got to the hotel so I could get out in the morning asap. Grumpy receptionist and postcode on your booking email takes you to the Northbound Travelodge so not massively helpful.

Typical travelodge basic rooms but although basic very good value for money, clean and comfortable, bring your own snacks there's a machine that's expensive and no restaurant on site, but a McDonald's a couple of miles awayRooms: Basic but clean and tidy

Professional ReviewHotel is right next to a busy road so getting out is very difficult in the morning if you are staying for work. The hotel is dated and the socket outlets are situated in a stupid place. When I entered my room half of one of my toilet rolls were used and I had piss on my seat. Also someone entered my room when I had a do not disturb sign on the door. The rooms are bog standard and the shower has no pressure and is luke warm. Guess you get what you pay for. Breakfast to go is only offered here which isn?t half bad probably rate it 6/10.there are no additional facilities on site. If your not staying for work I would give it a miss!Plus one side reviews

Rooms are rather dated, but they are clean! Kettle took forever to boil and looked rather old and limescale. Hall and rooms had new carpets was clear it's been freshly painted so that's a good thing maybe they are makeing more changes. Staff are very friendly, funny and helpful. Travel lodge got us sorted for a last minute for a few room bookings when another location in Burton Town cancelled because of damages that needed fixing because of their previous air b&b occupier. I would stay again if I had to based on location and price, but wouldn't be my first choice.

Room was clean, reception staff nice and ideal location for what we needed. Smell in corridors and room could do with sorting. It's not a major issue but slight damp smell.

Lovely and clean room, staff very friendly. A very comfy bed and very spacious, nice warm shower, bit confusing, but maybe that's just me. Had really nice new carpets, parking was very convenient and easily accessible
