We got seated pretty quickly, and the lady checked we knew how to order. We were then left to it, which was fine. We ordered a few plates and took a couple off the belt too. The ones on the belt were ok, but we did notice some of the plates on the belt missing the salad bits that go with them. We got our plates after quite a long wait, around 25-30 minutes, one of which was the Green Vibes Only plate, which again came with no salad, and one of which was the Japanese Kara age chicken, which came on the saddest looking dry old salad I?ve seen presented in a restaurant. I took a picture of each of these as I was quite surprised at the lack of care in delivering good fresh food. I did mention it to the man taking payment at the end, he said he was sorry and they?ll ?try to do better next time?, and that was all that was said. I usually would have spent more, had more food, but after this disappointment I won?t be heading back at all.

We visit here regularly now. It's always fresh and tastes amazing. Would recommend it to anyone even just to try it.

We visited on a Friday evening, relatively quiet wouldn?t say it was packed as I have seen before this place have queues and this wasn?t the case.We waited at the till for around 5 minutes and were ignored twice by the server before finally seating us down, we requested to sit in a booth as the bar isn?t quite our style and this was accepted. Big mistake. Sitting at a booth is out of sight out of mind and the service to follow was terrible.We ordered a katsu curry on the offer of BOGOF which we waited 45 minutes to arrive. The chef in the kitchen I have extreme sympathy for, working on his own with 5 other staff members doing absolutely nothing to help him. When the curry finally arrived I was told to qualify for the BOGOF offer I had to order 2 curry?s via the app. I apologised for my mistake and asked if they wouldn?t mind bringing me another, they accepted. We had to ask another 2 times as they had ?forgotten? we had ordered. In total we waited 1 hour 20 minutes for our food. We were not the only ones having to wait and saw 2 other couples walk out unhappy with the wait times.When the food arrived it was delivered by (guess who) the chef, who was working on his lonesome not only doing the cooking but the waiter service too. I didn?t manage to catch his name unfortunately.Overall awful service from the staff, chef was fantastic and food spot on but unfortunately a bad experience and won?t be returning.

Attended yesterday for lunch whilst out shopping. Had to seat ourselves after we were ignored multiple times whilst waiting to be seated and when someone finally came to see us they complained we had sat ourselves. Ordered on the app - took 30 minutes to get anything to our table not even tap water. My sushi had the smallest amount of fish in my maki it was the tiniest bleb on salmon that you couldn't even see from one side and when I complained there was no offer of remaking just oh right okay. The miso soup was watery, bland with the nori in it still crispy and the spring onions raw and rubbery. Honestly it was awful and when I spoke to the manager they just took a couple items off the bill without really apologising. Food was mediocre and the service was rubbish! I'll be sticking to Mr Myagis in the city centre for better sushi!

Whilst shopping, I ended up coming here for lunch and then again (unplanned!) for dinner.The staff were absolutely wonderful; they remained helpful, friendly and polite despite the fact that it was extremely busy. They smiled and were warm throughout both visits.The food was fresh, tasty and abundant. It was nice to see the conveyer back to how it was before. Both the hot and cold food were delicious!I wouldn?t normally go twice in one day, but it was the lovely staff, chefs and servers alike that made me want to return! Total credit where it?s due and kudos to such a welcoming team, who made me feel like a valued customer. Thank you all!

After waiting to be seating which we didn?t I decided to sit down with my family as no one wanted to seat us when there was loads of seats. Then stright after the woman came over to me to have a go at us for not waiting. Honestly felt so embarrassed and wanted to leave but I drove all that way to get sushi. All the food tasted warm and not fresh at all. Honestly the worst yo sushi I?ve ever been to don?t waste your time and go somewhere else with better service!

Used a voucher for this trip, glad I had it as the price has gone really steep in price. We just had 2 large Pumpkin Katsus in this one and ordered some tap water.The water never arrived so we had to flag someone down half way through the meal.You can order on the app but you have to pay in person now.The food was hot and extremely filling, everytime I visit the portion sizes are different.Table was clean and there is a lot of choice on the menu. We also wanted to order the Yo!, Fries which weren't on the app menu but they were on the physical one? So we just had to assume they were out of stock as there was no one to ask.

Great Sushi making class hosted by Billie. Very informative, interesting and delicious. Friendly atmosphere. A little expensive but worth it as made loads and brought some home too.

Always a great visit here, shame there isn't another one in Sheffield that doesn't require a visit to Meadowhall! New menu meant we had to try some of the new plates, we particularly liked the popcorn mochi desert! Always gets busy so recommend getting a table booked to guarantee getting in. Also used a 30% off food voucher which made it better value for money.

This was not great, service for ordered food was slow. Swear the portion sizes were smaller thank I remember and the sushi selection on the belt was lacking! Won't be going back to dine in I'm afraid but good takeout!

Not a great location as you're sat within the central travel zones, with people eyeing what is being prepared and eaten.The waiting time is increased as staff situated customers with a spare seating place between them, meaning there were gaps e erywhere and as a consequence, insuffient space for new customers.The food was slow but tasty when it arrived.

Drinks took 20 mins to arrive. If you don?t want to order on the app then you have to go searching for a server to place an order because they just assume that everyone is using the app. We ordered a dish without sauce for my son and it arrived with sauce on then it took another 20 mins to arrive. We asked if we could have plain cucumber and they said that they were unable to do that even though the dishes are prepared fresh so they would have had cucumber. Food kept arriving to our table that had been ordered to the table behind us. There was no offer of forks or spoons for the children, these used to be on the tables. We were still waiting for some of the dishes 45 mins after ordering them so we ended up cancelling them. Then they had the cheek to add a 10% service charge to the bill without asking us, I don?t mind paying for it when we have had good service but they should still ask first.

YO! Sheffield MeadowhallRating: ??The YO! Sheffield Meadowhall experience left much to be desired, despite its friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. Our total bill amounted to £33, a sum that did not reflect the value of the dining experience we had.We initially ordered three food items and two drinks, expecting a filling meal. However, only the drinks and two disappointing mains made it to our table. To fill the void, we eventually resorted to selecting sushi from the conveyor belt, which were priced around £6 each. These, too, were underwhelming in portion size, adding to our dissatisfaction.A significant issue arose when one of our ordered dishes went missing, and the staff claimed no knowledge of it. This mishap seemed to imply a cancellation but without any explanation or communication, which added confusion to our already lackluster meal.Considering the small portions and the dishes from the belt priced around £6, the overall experience felt overpriced and unsatisfying. We left the restaurant disappointed, feeling that our £33 could have been better spent elsewhere.In conclusion, YO! Sheffield Meadowhall has a lot of room for improvement. It earns a meager two-star rating, falling short in both value and communication. If you're a sushi aficionado, you might find better satisfaction and value at a YO! Sushi within a Tesco.

As a lover of Asian cuisines, this restaurant just takes the cake. As it is located in Meadowhall, the atmosphere is roudy but that?s nothing to do with the restaurant. The food here is amazing and the service is just top notch. They remake your food even from the slight mistake. Amazing place. Recommend checking it out next time your here! ?

Yo! has gone down hill since COVID in my opinion. Prices have skyrocketed and staff aren't as available. But the food is delicious.
