Just left this store. Atrocious service! Two idle customer service agents available yet no one bothered to ask if I needed help. No interaction whatsoever even when I entered the store. I was in there for at least 10 minutes and tried on 6 or 7 different glasses yet no one thought to ask if i needed assistance. No, I didn?t have to ask for help cos if you couldn?t be bothered to offer help then you?ll probably be of no use anyway.This is the second time this has happened in week. Yeah, I?ll stick with Specsavers. Those two need customer service retraining.

I attended this store today and ask simply about my sons contacts. l was greeted by a women called Tammy who then said she couldn?t handle my questions about my sons prescription. She then proceeded to run to the back of the building screaming that she couldn?t do it she just couldn?t do it!! to anyone who would listen!! She then told a staff member it?s them?meaning me and my son and my 1 year old daughter! I honestly could not believe it. I thought she was having maybe a bad day and shouldn?t have been at work that day. But to proceed to state it?s them like us asking a few questions has caused her this type of distress is disgusting. I honestly believe if me and my son was white her response wouldn?t have been that! Vile service! I never said anything to warrant that response!!

Absolutely ignored.I came into this store wanting to get my glasses. When I walked in a lady with brunette hair was serving another customer. I have a visibility cane and need assistance. The sales person finished with their customer, walked past me, sat down at her desk and started drinking something from a cup whilst talking to another colleague. All this happened within a space of 10-15 minutes. She even made a quick call whilst I was in store. Noone spoke to or acknowledged me in any way. There was noone else waiting to be served.Well done Vision express for having two staff members who would rather sit, chat to each other and have a drink whilst a visually impaired person with a signal cane is ignored. An opticians is the last place someone like me should be ignored and left to struggle. I left and went elsewhere.

Had a great experience with my optometrist today (Motiullah it the name it says on my prescription). So friendly, thorough, informative and explained everything very well. The other store staff were also very helpful and friendly.

Missed a scheduled appointment staff called and rescheduled for the same day. Attended the appointment met with friendly and welcoming staff waited to be seen by the optician who went through the processes explained everything to me with clarity.A member of staff helped me choose a frame and was very patient. Overall a great customer experience.

A lovely lady completed my actual eye test however there was an incredibly rude and aggressive woman in a green headband working today that soured the experience. Unwilling to help as she was 'too busy', scoffed when I refused to sit down and wait to pay as I had to go back to work and then barked across the shop something about my prescription whilst I was being served by a lovely lady called Chloe.

BEWARE RUDE/ POSSIBLY RACIST SERVICE!!!Extremely rude service (2nd time in a row) - Specifically Advisor Tammy. My daughter Called up asking if they could look for a frame on their website as I usually call up meadow hall and they are brilliant with this. The optical assistant - Tammy claimed she was searching for one over the phone and then said it wasn't there (makes sense with stock). But when enquiring about a different frame she claimed she was actually with a customer and then when I asked if I could speak to anyone else she said in a rude tone that my only option was to come in store (quite an odd request seeing as vision express have stated to offer this service). When I politely asked her if there's a preferred time I could call back she immediately put the phone down on me.This is the second rude experience I've had with going into the Fargate store in sheffield, the first time was when I was looking around for frames. After a vey unwelcoming reception talk about frames I started to browse the frames. The optical assistant proceeded to whisper to the optician about me (which I could hear as I was the only one in the store) and stare at me from the other end of the store, a very uncomfortable experience- I am pretty sure it was the same assistant Tammy. The optician then proceeded to try on glasses next to me and look at me from the corner of his eye - very uncomfortable. I'm not sure if this was a racially motivated experience (as I am a person of colour) or if it was just an inability to give good customer service.[Edit: I was dressed in fully formal clothes and behaving in a normal manner which leaves me to believe this was actually racially motivated. After looking at the reviews I can see that another black person has had the same experience, seems like management really needs to fix this!]Going back to meadowhall vision express has been a wonderful experience so I would suggest this opticians instead - especially if you are a person of colour.

Booked for new glasses and contact lens .did all the eye tests picked frame's then told I would have to come back another day for contacts.then told to payOver the phone the next day which I did for the glasses when payment was received I was then told I needed to go to meadowhall for the contact lens .utter waste of time.

Really thorough eye examination and very capable staff. Better treatment than in another high street chain ? ?Should?ve come here 1st!
