Cozy pub with a good atmosphere. I was in England for a weekend for football matches and this pub appealed to me. Nice people at the bar who know us a little and a friendly owner/manager.

Might not be the most glamorous of venues but top landlord and team. Always come here before we go for a rave - didn?t get guys name but Scottish guy always friendly and helpful and talks to all the customers making them feel welcome. Saw the guy helping a disabled man in and taking time to bring him in and they always open to just let people come in from the cold. Top place top man !

A group of us arrived early into Sheffield and were looking for a pub that would be open. The Penny Black was open and a short walk from the station. The landlord and staff were friendly. The free jukebox and sky sports were a bonus too. Will visit again when in town for the football
