One of two "banks" located in Sheffield The Moor, interestingly both banks are in the Lloyds Banking Group (Lloyds Bank and Halifax), both banks (and other rivals) do have nearby stores in Sheffield city centre, so one could argue whether this branch is actually needed as Sheffield isn't that big of a place to warrant two branches. This branch of Halifax really does lack compared to the other branch elsewhere in the city, just a couple minutes walk away on foot, one could again argue if this branch is needed considering there is a much larger, more modern branch and possibly one of the best branches in the Halifax network (trust me that says something regarding the quality of their branches) being so close. This is supported by the fact, another large city with a similar population as Sheffield (Liverpool), does only have one Halifax branch and that seems to function fine. The branch its-self is a little small, but unlike Lloyds nearby, it does have cash machines inside and out and some seating, but the store seems really cramped where even with just a few people in, it can feel really busy and claustrophobic which isn't that comfortable. Interestingly, the opening hours are the same as the nearby Halifax branch on High Street, and better than the hours at Lloyds Bank a few stores down, being open 9-5, albeit closing at 2 on a Saturday, and opening half an hour later on a Wednesday's - the opening hours in general still aren't great. Not a terrible branch but certainly not a gem or even average store in the network either. 2*
