The branch is usually ok however the banking apps are atrocious, they intermittently work and cause real problems. Do not use this bank for either business or personal banking via apps because it?s totally useless. The hurdles you have to jump over to use business banking is a joke .. I?m at the end of my tether with these and today 5/10/23 both aren?t working and neither is the telephone banking.. wasting my time

I have had a business account with this branch many years, also an ISA, personal pension and endowment was taken out with them they shipped out to Royal London.
I recently applied for a personal account. I spent a hour there, took in all personal details asked of me. I've never had a mortgage, personal loan, overdraft or anything in my life and so I can't possibly have anything against me. I was turned down. How did I find this out?
After weeks of waiting I rang them several times. My personal banking person never answered after many tries. I rang a national number and was told I should have had a letter telling me why and that I would receive another in its place. That never arrived either. After several weeks I went elsewhere. I will be moving my other equity too I say 'equity' as that is exactly what it is, not loans or overdrafts, just money, my money. Trust works both ways in my eyes. If they don't trust me, then why should I trust them?
At least they will know why I do not want them, a courtesy they did not afford to myself!
They have deeply offended me and wasted several weeks of my time.
I went to Halifax bank and was accepted immediately. I would also like to add that at Halifax I didn't have to sit in a room for a two person grilling like some criminal under CID conditions. It was easy and friendly and all is up and running. I feel at Coop I was merely part of some training exercise.
Totally annoyed and disillusioned by their treatment of me. I seriously do not understand what it was all about there!!!!!!
