I phoned to see if my medication had been sent down from my GP?s at 8am. The Pharmacist told me that the medication was there. He listed the items and told me that they would be ready to collect after 6pm. My partner collected them for me. However, only two of the three items were in the bag. I phoned and spoke with the Pharmacist and he told me that he did not tell me that all three items were there. When I challenged him and said that he listed my medication to me and not the other way around he then admitted that he had read from a prescription a month ago. I was due to go on holiday on the Monday (this was Friday evening) and because he had ?miss read? the prescription and left me no time to remedy the issue with GP seen as they close at 6pm (I phoned at 8am initially). He told me to phone 111 knowing full well they do not issue emergency prescriptions for controlled medicine.

Says they are open until 10pm on the asda website , I arrived at 21:25 to find it all shuttered up - I could have got the medicine from the out of hours gp but I said no as asda pharmacy was open...... No I'm going to have to wait >12 hours

Terrible service, again. For the 2nd time out of the last twice I have had to ask why my prescription was not ready for collection and this was after 7 and 10 days respectively after the electronic prescriptions were sent by the surgery.Once was bad enough but twice is a terrible service.I was told that due to staff shortages and holidays there was a back log.Problem is that a prescription repeats every 28 days but unable to reorder until day 24 of 28.We're not talking a cold remedy here. One of us suffers horrendously with arthritis and my partner has had a stroke and is diabetic.Uter disgraceful service and cop out excuses. Now changed to another Chemist. Nice, friendly and top notch service tooAnd...Our weekly shop of around £100 will be going elsewhere, never again will we step in another ASDA

Lovely staff, some queues on somedays but worth the wait

There is zero way to contact them as they never answer the phone....ever. also told me more than once that my prescription was ordered when it clearly wasn't, and the flip side to that is that they had my prescription for days and not called me when they said they would, overall a terrible experience as I once again find myself driving to wicker in Sheffield for the ite.s that asda can't seem to procure

Shocking service . On 2 separate occasions they could not fulfill prescriptions . The 1st 1 week ago when I was given the script back and told to try another chemist. I drove to the chemist near my business to be told they couldn't issue as asda had not cancelled the script off thier system . 3 days later this was finally sorted . I have today been to pick up my mums prescription to be told they are running about a week behind . They gave me the prescription back and I drove to chemist in Monk Bretton. I wax then told asda had not removed it off the system . I drove back down to be laughed at and told the systems are down. Now in limbo a d mum doesn't have her meds . Shocking service . The lady with the glasses smirking wants sacking . Playing with people's medication is disgusting

Asda pharmacy at Barnsley Harborough Hill is appalling!!They regularly don't have all of your medicines & the queues are horrendous.Do yourself a favour & go to an alternative chemist.

Haven't answered the phone for months everytime I call..I was trying to call on the bank holiday (8th may) , I called multiple times, and had no choice but to rush down because the out of hours gp had given me a emergency prescription for pain relief I really needed. In the end they didn't have it and I was in alot of pain that night.I cannot check on the status of prescriptions , so it means I have to travel down when I'm not physically great to only have the risk of it not being ready. Especially with my prescription items including blood thinners, which is obviously a medication that needed.Staff are great though when I speak with them.

On Friday a old guy asked for a prescription that was sent Tuesday. The woman service asked if he could vote back in 45min as they hadn't done Tuesday yet . Today there must have been 10 queuing.

Only recently joined Asda pharmacy for electronic prescription ordering etc as I had so much stress and hassle from the previous chemist I was with. All I can say is from first asking about how to change to the Asda pharmacy to picking up my medications was brilliant, so smooth, straightforward and informative.Absolutely perfect and all persons I came into contact with were really helpful friendly and polite. They did all the electronic info change over and set up the txt messaging service for me.I?ve given 5* but if there were more I?d give them, so it?s 5+* from me.
