Went in today to look at shoes & just get a few bits, the shop was dead it was only me & a friend in there. I went over to the tills to pay. The woman on the tills however, was rude. That rude she didnâ??t even acknowledge the fact there was a person stood there waiting to be served. If sheâ??d have just smiled & said Iâ??ll be with you in a moment that would have been fine I wasnâ??t in a rush. But no, she decided to blatantly ignore me for ages. In the end I put the stuff back & walked out. No wonder the company is under strain with women line that working there! What a shame. I really liked a few things today from the winter collection but I canâ??t deal with staff like that, Iâ??d rather go else where & get the customer service.

Amazing customer service from the staff in Telford as usual they didnâ??t disappoint we have picked all our new born baby things and we all love them. From the car seat to the pram even the baby carrier now we have everything to ensure we can enjoy our little boy just that little bit more. A special thankyou to Helen who always helps us and assists with all questions her experience is invaluable and has really helped us with our decision making thank you to all the staff xx

I had a brilliant experience today at Mothercare. A new staff member, Lisa, was super helpful and professional with a nursing bra fitting. A lady called Karen also assisted and was lovely and went above and beyond. While in there I asked if there were replacement foam handle covers I could buy for my Journey pram for my 5 week old daughter, as ours had ripped - instead I came out with a complete new chassis (sorted by Kirsty), all in a short space of time. The staff were really great. Thank you!

Excellent customer service yesterday evening. Really wish I would have taken the ladies' name who served us. Spent over an hour with us talking us through car seats and prams - extremely helpful.

I went in today with the intention of buying a car seat and a pram and left with neither and no intention of ever buying from them again. No staff were in the car seat section, so I had to queue at main till to get hold of someone. When I eventually got to someone she shouted to another member of staff asking whether anyone was there, to which they abruptly replied yes there are two members of staff there, implying that I had just not looked hard enough. She went with me to the department and low and behold, no staff. She found them both in the back warehouse and when the right member of staff finally came out, she treated me with disdain - I must have taken her away from something very important in the back there. I got greeted with a "yes?", and an unimpressed face, so I really felt like a valued customer.....
I pointed out the newborn car seat that I wanted to buy and get fitted today. She said she would advise a carrier for newborns because of recline. I told her I did not want a carrier, to which she continued to argue with me about recline, convenient how the one she was showcasing was twice the price of the one I wanted. And to top it off, this carrier was no better in terms of her argument because it did not offer a completely flat recline anyway! She did not listen to me and was manipulative in her approach of trying to sell the more expensive one. She made me feel like I was wrong in my choice. I will point out that the one I wanted has been tested, approved and labelled as safe for newborn babies in cars, which is the only thing I intend to use it for, not carrying it around or using it for the baby to sleep in. I told her all of this but she did not listen and kept repeating "it's up to you but....."
I was that upset by her attitude that I left without even enquiring about prams. Went to Halfords around the corner who had a much better attitude, were willing to test some seats in my car there and then.
I would not recommend Mothercare after today and I will not be returning because this is not the first time I have had a bad experience there - bought faulty briefs from there before and had a bra fitting there which has left me with expensive, ill-fitting bras. So upset because this should be an exciting happy time and they just made it stressful and a mind game about how much money they could try and get me to spend. Taking advantage of vulnerable new parents and parents-to-be.

Ordered a car seat - to be delivered at the store so they could fit it for us. Car seat arrived a day early so we made the half hour journey over. When we arrived at 6.15, we collected it to be told they wouldn't install the seat because it was "too dark". It wasn't dark when we arrived - but it was by the time we left over an hour later after trying to install the contraption. The staff were rude and no apology was offered that they couldnt install it. They didn't offer us a demo in the store or how to instal it and until they shut up shop, all the staff did was stand in their window, watching us struggle. Awful customer service

Bought a baby bouncer that lasted 4 weeks and started to split. The shop insisted it was my 16 week old baby's fault. The manager was so rude it was unbelievable. Cheap, nasty products. Buy at your own peril.
