We had put a deposit down for an event which was cancelled due to Covid. We were assured our deposit would be returned on January 2022. As of today. May 1st, still no deposit, despite multiple assurances it was being processed. The manager is never available, always promised he will return calls, and not once had call returned. Staff, though helpful cannot tell me what their complaints policy is or their head office telephone number. Disappointing as the venue is nice, but we would never again use them or recommend them because of such poor service.

Gorgeous place to go and visit. Would definitely recommend to anybody who asks for a hidden gem in Telford! Polite, welcoming staff - just as it should be! Was very very very impressed and will be coming again

An absolute shambles of an establishment!!!!No communication, no support, call almost 4 weeks before the wedding to tell us we can't use the accommodation for our wedding. Stay in the mill for the whole day, our guests separated from the main hotel by a sheet, later cover by fake ivy, no photographs to be taken outdoors.We had two days to change the venue of our wedding before we lost everything booked for that day.Any help or support? No, not even a refund of the monies we had paid!!! Withheld our money until 4 days before our wedding!! I had to call, message daily, no one would reply. Had to threaten legal proceeding to get our money back. The lady who altered my dress had 4 other ladies in the same predicament, 1 recieved a refund because she contacted the local media. Our guests have still not been informed of the cancellation of their rooms, 4 weeks after the wedding!!!!! Avoid at all costs!!!!The place should be shut down!!!

No apologises, no communication furthermore even though we had to pay a considerable amount because of this hotel and the way they treat guests. Our guests still haven't been informed that their stay was cancelled 4 weeks after the planned wedding date. The place should be shut down!!!

Words fall short of how shockingly bad this place and experience was. But we will give it a go. Lost our booking for two double rooms with breakfast and dinner. Then found it, they hadnt logged it and quoted us over double the quote but for one room. Thank god I had email evidence. Friends room was a single. They suggested a z-bed. ? Decor in both rooms bizarre, broken furniture, dirty throughout. Watched cleaners throw cigs on the floor right outside my room (dog friendly?). Dinner was a write off. I had emailed about allergies and dietary needs. Ignored. No options. Awful. Turns out they had hired a temp chef for weekend but charged us and other guests same rate for dinner as usual chef.Breakfast was same situation.General manager was dismissive until we asked for details of head office. Pictures online are misrepresentation, except photos of older, exterior part of original building. Do. Not. Go. Here

After waiting nearly a year for a refund from our wedding, we finally received it today. Thankfully they now have a new manager who listens and takes action. This is a huge step from the previous manager. It is a lovely venue, and unfortunately that was ruined for us by the lack of communication from previous management. I'm sure this would not happen now.

Wouldn?t recommended this hotel. We refused to stay at this property on the 28th May 2021. Prior to booking we contacted the hotel directly to ask if the superior room we were looking to book was a four poster room, as the photos show these plus other rooms which is very misleading. The night manager Gareth, insisted it was. We proceeded to book the room for bed with breakfast for two nights as a post wedding mini-moon for us. We then messaged the hotel to confirm this. We had a reply from Nina, the GM to say that it wasn?t a four poster room, but they would put us in one of their historical rooms, the ?Gallery? which had a canopy

we arrived at 1900hrs they did not have us booked in asked us if we wanted a evening meal we said yes please at 1930hrs. got a room got ready for meal, the food was said to be freshly cooked to order but in 10mins cod & chips mushy peas is presented to me the cod was a triangular shape not a shape of a fish that i have seen before. so to the room we go we looked at tea making 2 tea bags 5 sugars for 2 people.one wall light stayed on unscrewed bulb, cobweb dangling from ceiling over the bed,cobwebs and dead spider around walls in bathroom. tap lever on sink hits shelf cannot operate fully, 2 toilet roll holders above each other, rolls dont roll they hit each other. the room looks as if it has just been decorated but by the local children paint all over tv cables and not cut in properly arround walls & celling, we go down for breakfast in the morning asked what name, no your not booked in for breakfast so we managed to get a small room on our own which is all set up for lunch time waitress not happy. the breakfast allso came out within 10mins. so to sum up not a pleasant stay for 3nights for b&b. i know it is 3star but when you pay over £100 anight i expect a bit more really , the location is lovely but still needs tidying around grounds in my opinion.

Stopped in historic room bathroom was terrible floor tiles loose hairs in bath light didn?t work bath didn?t work properly.then was told hour before our meal we could not have it because off kitchen staff had been pinged on COVID app .I no historical room are old but bathrooms really need up dating for what they charge for 1 knight

The photos of The Mill do not do it justice. It was an excellent venue for our son's wedding. Plus the hotel was a great backdrop for the Wedding Photos.
