Food was really good service was slow had to keep asking the waitress to come over to order. When we received the bill it was supposed to be 40% between 5-6pm we were charged the full price we had to say to the waitress it?s was promptly changed. The service used to be good not sure why it is so slow the restaurant wasn?t even that busy

Great food and amazing service...without going into too much detail the long house went above and beyond for us after I explained that we just had a baby 11 weeks early and wanted a quiet night to have a nice meal. The table was perfect, the food was amazing and thank you for the gift that you gave us to celebrate our baby. My wife will be staying at the hospital for the foreseeable with baby so we will definitely be back and will bring I'm Maya to meet you all. Thanks so much. My wife was crying happy tears because of the kind gesture!!

We had lunch from the value lunch menu (£9.95).The food was very good and we thought it was excellent value for money. I had the salt beef sandwich with fries, my wife had the ham & cheddar sandwich with fries, and my daughter the smoked salmon sandwich with a bowl of broccoli soup (this tasted waaaay better than it sounded or looked!).The fries were really good and required no seasoning; hot, crisp, properly salted, and plenty of them. All the sandwiches were very tasty, with a good balance of ingredients, and all came with coleslaw and a small, dressed salad. Both servers were very attentive and pleasant, and had the right balance of intervention when taking and placing orders, and then clearing the table afterwards. My wife uses a wheelchair, so I had phoned ahead to make sure accessibility wasn't an issue and to book the table (recommended). I'm pleased to say there were no accessibility issues at all getting to the table. And in fact another group of wheelchair users came in while we were dining, highlighting the ease of accessibility. One small issue was the entrance to the disabled toilet, which my wife found partially blocked by chairs stored near the door. This made maneuvering her chair a bit more difficult than it needed to be.We hadn't realised it was possible to eat outside until after we'd left, spotting the outside dining area as we passed by. It would have been good to have this option as we'd have taken it given how nice the weather was. There is a council pay car park right next to the restaurant, so parking isn't a problem. The disabled spaces - which we used - are free to use (there are lowered kerbs to facilitate wheelchair use). The other spaces are fairly cheap with it being a council controlled car park. All in all, we had a very good dining experience and will definitely visit again.Vegetarian options: There are also vegan options on the menu.Dietary restrictions: One of the very first things the server asked was if there were any dietary restrictions, so they are clearly conscious of those.Parking: Parking is immediately next to the restaurant. There are plenty of spaces.Wheelchair accessibility: Fully accessible for wheelchair users.

Went out for an early dinner and picked off the early bird menu. I picked the Haggis, neeps and tatties. If you are hungry at all avoid this menu. The portion was embarrassing, at best it was a disc of haggis about 2inch by a half inch with corresponding tatties and neeps. My brother in law who recommended the place was mortified. What I got was tasty but seriously, the chef must have tiny hands if he thinks that portion was decent. For 16.99 I also got a small sticky toffee pudding which was nice but almost bigger than the main course. Calamari starter was small bit nice as well. The manager should head up to the White Cart in Busy, for £11.39 their portion of Haggis is a big plate full that I was stuffed after eating the night before. The food was nice , they just need to make you aware that it if small portions.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free and vegan.

Delicious food, welcoming staff, beautiful venue inside with a roaring fire. Lunch menu only £10, with good selection and amount of food. Coffee and cakes were spot on too.

Omg I'm so impressed with this place, the decor is so cosy and modern, the menu is impressive, something different as well as traditional and the quality of the food was exceptional.
