This was the most spectacular little getaway. The rooms were warm, dry, clean, and cosy. The view from my room was actually spectacular. In the morning the breakfast was tasty and the coffee was spectacular. Thank you for a wonderful stay Dan and George!Food & drinks: The little ?Hidden Coffee? shop is an absolute gem with homemade baking and specialty coffees.

Lovely little guest house, sea views were amazing, loved going to sleep to the sound of the waves. Breakfast was nice and staff friendly and efficient. It's a great base for exploring too.

Dropped a star as there was no restaurant as advertised, no where to eat in the evening in Whiting Bay, lots of places in Lamlash, we got 10% of our food at the Pierhead tavern. Our double bed a bit small in length mattress very hard but I know that?s personal preference. Although room was nice it was a bit tired windows where dirty. No where to sit and have a drink tried outside but to many midges so ended up back in our bedroom Breakfast was very nice though and all the staff we met lovely too.

Stayed for 3 nights with my mum. The location is superb - right on the seafront and a quick drive from Lamlash. Spectacular sea views from both our bedroom and the dining room. The staff are lovely - very approachable and keen to help. Breakfast was very good - both the full Scottish and the vegetarian were very tasty and well cooked, with quality ingredients. Unlike previous reviewers, I had no trouble finding staff when we needed help. I even got an instant response to a text message I sent late at night. Check in was also very straightforward - we actually found the keycode door system convenient. Our room itself was very large, stylish and comfortable. It was stylish and homely, although there were a few outstanding maintenance jobs, which detracted a bit. We had our little dog with us and she was made welcome by staff. No, you can't bring dogs into the dining room but that didn't bother us at all. There were no dinners available on site but we did visit the owner's pub in Lamlash (the PHT), where we had a delicious meal. I wouldn't hesitate to book again. It's a lovely place to stay.

Stayed for 4 nights with my wife and 2 dogs. Fabulous location. Room had everything we needed. Lovely modern en suite bathroom. Staff very friendly and a good breakfast. Had read a few negative reviews prior to our visit about check-in and issues with dogs but I can't understand the chritasism. Check in was easy and although our dogs were not allowed in the dining room at breakfast which I can fully understand the staff had no problems with the dogs staying in our room. All in all a great time thank you

Room was nice enough. Small, but it was for a single person. Service was fine.. bit odd talking to a Ring doorbell for assistance if noone is around, plus the keypad room door is a bit fiddly. Breakfast was fine, although the juice dispenser didn't really work and the waitress wasn't much help!.On the edge of Whiting Bay but a good wee beach area right in front of it. No evening meal options whilst I was there but they did offer 10% discount in the Pierhead Tavern in Lamlash which offset the bus fare to get there.

Won?t be booking again, terrible attitude. No fault of own our ferry was cancelled, asked for a change of dates and won?t even entertain the idea. For a business on an island that requires people to get a ferry to and won?t even be half decent. Won?t be booking again!

Beautifully decorated, generously sized rooms right on the beach. Self Checkin. Breakfast service good. The real winner is the comfort and practical nature of the rooms. Stellar.

Having read earlier reviews, it would seem that something is amiss here. Whilst the check in procedure is impersonal, it is clear....however the information on the card was wrong and we had to get someone to help us get into the room. The room was adequate but the fan in the bathroom didn't work, the sink was cracked and the shower was variable. The bed was reasonably comfortable. There are no evening meals now. Breakfast was good although the young man waiting on looked exhausted and seemed to be on his own. We only saw one other staff member and that was a young woman hoovering in the lobby as we left. The views from the front of the Guest House, including the breakfast room are magnificent, unfortunately we had a side room. The beautiful beach and bay are just across the road. This may be a difficult phase for the Burlington, but based on our visit we would neither return nor recommend it .?

Lovely big room & bathroom on the top floor, so gorgeous view. Nice & clean, but very impersonal. No one at reception just an envelope with room code & a breakfast form to fill in. Didn?t see any staff at all except the waitress at breakfast. No evening meals so had to drive into Lamlash for food each night.

Beautiful view from room 1 and wonderful location. The chef was brilliant with my complicated dietary requirements, which was massively appreciated, and quite rare to find! The guest house was a great base to explore the island, and it is straight across the road to the beach. We brought our large dog with us, as the guest house allows dogs, however our room was up two flights of beautifully clean carpets, meaning we felt very uncomfortable allowing him to play on the beach, so if you are bringing dogs, I'd definitely consider brining equipment to wash them outside. Another small thing is we found out when we arrived that dogs were not allowed in the dining room, which is no problem, but we were advised to leave him in the car not the room, so unfortunately had to cancel dinner the second night as he was really stressed after the first night and breakfast. I'd definitely stay again without a dog, as it was lovely, but I'd maybe not recommended bringing a large energetic dog! There was also a slight lack of local food and drink produce- we would have loved to try some Arran beer! Our final thing to note is that if you have the rooms at the front, with the beautiful views, there is an airbandb next door that sleeps 18- sadly a very rowdy group kept us up both nights as we could hear them clearly through the windows. Thank you for the stay!
