The staff at the desk are very friendly and professional, had a great experience recently submitting some documentation. They provide useful information on a number of different services and are very knowledgeable.

All staff good but special praise for Eleanor who has an amazingly warm natural personality and goes the extra mile in being very helpful .A rarity in this world.

Today I visited YBS in Glasgow where I've had accounts for many years. I was so shocked at the attitude of the teller I was left speechless by her tone of voice and general aggressiveness. I was so upset I left and returned home. I then took action to close my accounts so I never have to endure such behaviour again. Shocking!!!

Absolutely excellent. Staff were very pleasant, friendly, helpful and efficient. I was given good advice from Eleanor who understood what I wanted and opened a new savings account quickly and easily with no fuss. Other banks and building societies should send their staff here to see how customer service should be delivered. My experience was a real breath of fresh air. Highly recommended.

I was told to come to this branch to open an account , any day in between 10 am and 4 pm Monday to Friday and to report at counter , I arrived there last Tuesday on16 May 2017 around 12 noon and reported at counter , 4 assistants were there at counter but no customers at all , just they were sitting and talking and passing time , I requested to open an account , one girl thin and small curly hair said , she can do it just now , I have to take appointment and come next day , I said I have already did it earlier and it was told to come today but that girl did not listen , I was walked out , and open account somewhere else , so inconvenience this manner and this is unacceptable , Yorkshire BS should not appoint so many counter staff like this for nothing , IMPROVE YOUR SERVICE for customers convenience , disgraceful and painful ...

I have a saving account with the Yorkshire Building Society - so I find myself in here reasonably regularly. It's located right by Central Station, which makes it a lot easier to find if you're unsure of the location. (I must admit it took me a while the first time I needed to make a visit). This place is very reasonably sized, but not generally very busy. This is great as you won't have to queue for hours before you get to talk to the bank tellers. Plus, if you do have to wait for a couple of minutes, there are plenty of seats available for you to make yourself comfortable in. The staff are friendly and helpful and will get you sorted easily. I once witnessed them explaining very patiently to a Spanish man that they couldn't help him with his account because they were not the Yorkshire Bank but the Yorkshire Building society and totally separate companies. This continued despite him refusing to understand for about ten minutes. Bless. Just don't make the same mistake yourself...

I have found the service in here to be first class. The account has run like clock work and the interest rate is ok. The staff are always friendly and helpful, and it is in a really good position near central station and a lot of other banks and building societies, should you need to do any manual cash transfers! They always seem to have a raffle or prize draw or competition of some sort on for charities, which just shows how charming they must be! I would definitely recommend this financial institution to anyone. Plus they also do free tea and coffee and hot choc! (For customers of course!)
