Absolutely outstanding. We ordered each of the dishes on the menu and they were all 10 out of 10. Young staff enthusiastic despite the closure. But wait.......we can never go back despite being very keen to do so,,,,why you ask...well its now closed down. Now if this restaurant was in the Merchant City/Finniston or the south side it would have been packed out every day, but because of its location right in the city centre it didn't stand a chance. Oh and the lack of publicity did not help. So guys you have missed the boat on this one, mores the pity.

My two friends and I thoroughly enjoyed the food and drinks at Scamp. The service was excellent and staff very attentive and knowledgeable about each dish. Thanks, we?ll be back.

Very tasty food. Great atmosphere. Worth a visit. Staff very helpful with making menu choices. Near city centre and all transport links . Subway, train station and bus links within walking distance.

Fabulous food, wine & service at this small non pretentious restaurant. We tasted some really unique dishes, all great but the standouts were the oysters, the halibut tartare & the hispi cabbage but to be honest all the food we ate was top class. Our orange wine came from Georgia & was really good & the whole wine list looked interesting. The service was exceptionally friendly & very informative. We really recommend this restaurant.

Went for the Monday tasting menu, staff were friendly and service was excellent. Food was 10/10, the best meal I?ve had in a while! Great flavours and well balanced.

Our hotel recommended this restaurant and I was so glad. It was an amazing food. Restaurant did not look like a high class, just an average interior, big windows to the street. Nothing fancy. But the food and staff were AMAZING. Everything was very tasty. Staff was very attentive to all our requests. Service was quick. We had oysters, mussels, fish, veggies. Everything was delicious!!! I really like that concept that they try to use only local ingredients. It was wonderful to try local seafood. I can's wait to come again!

Honestly, I can't fault this place. Went for our friend's birthday, the food and service were tremendous! My mouth still waters thinking about it!!

Had to vote down the atmosphere because, inexplicably, Scamp was quiet, but this took nothing from my meal. This was a plus, and they rescued us from a booking fiasco elsewhere. Went with 3 friends. The menu is sharing plates, and the recommendation was 10 plates for 4. This happened to allow us to order the entire menu, including specials. From that menu, there was not a single dish that was not excellent. Finely balanced plates with good accompanying wines. Can't recommend highly enough.

Stubbled across this place by chance by wondering around Glasgow with my partner. Visiting for her birthday and as we both love sea food, we had to try it. Was not let down at all, this place is absolutely fantastic, each dish we ordered was amazing and they just got better and better each time, the scallops and that puree were an absolute highlight. The beef cheek too, it just falls apart without the need to cut it, perfect! Staff were friendly, cocktails were a hit too. And the price is really not bad, being from Bristol, good restaurants are usually expensive so to find a place with this value is fantastic! Will definitely be back on our next visit

Truly excellent experience, food was outstanding, venue comfortable, staff all very helpful and provided excellent service, will be back again, if you enjoy seafood this is a must try.

Superb restaurant in a surprise location. The whole experience a joy. Food to die for, service exceptional. I cannot recommend this place enough. Just go. We ate the whole menu. Enough said!

This place is good for exquisite taste only. Relatively limited menu. After seeing so many great reviews, was surprised to see the restaurant empty. Market fish was done pretty well. Soft, great taste. Although they led me to believe that it was a full fish but it really was not. With full fish i expected to get a skin, tail and fins and I actually specifically asked about them while ordering. After all , it was fillet just a whole fish size filet. No skin or tail. The monk dish was ok but didn?t impress our party. Service was excellent but for the food we probably wouldn?t go there again.
