So I was waiting in line to pay in some money and transfer to my own account - whilst waiting in line another member of staff approached me and said I could use the ATM machine (not a pleasant member of staff mind you) and I politely declined as the last time I used an ATM machine to pay cash in my notes got stuck and didn?t get paid into my account until the next day and I urgently needed this cash in my account so couldn?t have any mistakesI then continued to wait in line to find out the teller couldn?t take the cash over the counter because it would show on her audit trail? I don?t understand what this means or why her audit trail concerns me but it was an annoying experience as I travelled all the way to the branch to do this.Will be raising a complaint with Barclays as I believe the teller was annoyed I didn?t use the ATM machine and was being lazyNone the less there was a post office down the road who happily took my money over the counter - use the post office guys , pleasant staff and will happily take your cash

I have banked with Barclays for over a decade business, and in the last year, I have wasted over 23 hours either on phones or on their App with people who can't pronoun my name or keep telling me I am virtual business, all speaking their name with the same automated message, I know their KPC team is in another country and they aren't, don't care if they lose small businesses, but at least tell you because the torture and harassment, I have complained to the ombudsman which is bull anyway, if anyone else has had this experience, please note, that the people in branch who know me by name couldn't be nicer, unfortunately they can't assist, genuinely hope no one else has had to go through this and Barclays board gets took to task on poor service and cheap labour I can't believe it's came to writing review in order to get anyone to listen

Not great. As other posters have said, the counter closes before the branch does, and as I discovered earlier today, doesn't open at all on a Saturday which is not advertised anywhere. I had visited the branch this morning, intending to make an urgent cash withdrawal to cover emergency home repairs (a sum well over the ATM limit, hence visiting the branch in the first place) but was told that as the counter was closed this would not be possible, in effect preventing me from accessing my money as required, and leaving me in very sticky situation. The staff member who served me was sour and rude - not the first time I've encountered this at the Shawlands branch - and my morning was completely wasted. I don't honestly know why they even bother opening the branch at all or paying staff to do essentially nothing but point customers to machines identical to those on the street that they are already more than capable of using themselves. I'll now need to take even more time to go back again on Monday, where I'll be withdrawing every single penny and closing my account permanently. Needless to say, I won't be banking with Barclays again - thankfully there are plenty other, far more customer friendly banks vying for my business, which means it won't be necessary to do so - and I certainly will NOT be remotely sorry to never have to deal with this branch or its delightful staff again either.

Opening times displayed on internet,Bank is open.Turn up to to counter, it closes 2 & 1/2 hours before the branch closes!Staff are still behind the counter: Sorry can?t help you!

Counter closes at 1400 despite branch being open til half 4. Some woman is then "helping" you use the machines, why doesn't she just jump on the counter and be actually useful? She then told me I could get what I needed from the post office. Off I popped to the nearest one and (no surprise!) that was false information and they couldn't help me. What a waste of time.

Booked an appointment for opening new account, as they promise to mail the card to my location address.now more three weeks no one call me or at least send me an email explaining why the delay happened.. Also bad service at the branch.

Not very happy been trying to contact the bank and the phone number DOES NOT put you through just cuts off. Not very good as I am house bound and cannot get out the house. Only information I have is on a card which I was given by my daughter. Please fix this as its not good that you cannot phone your bank and speak to a human being its all online which I don't have.
