Glasgow Central branch. I had bought a damaged item still on its card but they insisted they'd need a receipt even just to swap it - I didn't want a refund. I hadn't asked for the receipt when offered one at the point of sale and paid cash so I was stumped. Only choice I they gave me was to buy a new one. All very petty and a profound lack of customer service. Very disappointed. I'm sure your consumer rights when the item is damaged would allow for a swap.... Jobsworth!

Forced to rate staff's performance on the card machine. When I questioned this, the staff member seemed visibly upset and said it was head office's new way of assessing their "customer service". Seems a bit rude and ridiculous rating how adults do their job right in front of them. Not surprised at this company though, it was only before xmas I was in and overheard a staff member talking to another employee like they were a child. Staff are usually very friendly and helpful.

Some of your staff is racists. Happy to serve the white customers, completely ignored anyone of colour. Thought I was imagining it when it happened the first time. But now it?s happened 3 times. Won?t be returning to your store now.

I'm not massively into bags and other such fripperies - generally I will buy a bag and use just that bag until it falls apart or I ruin it in some other way, but Accessorize has the sort of bags that make me stop in my tracks and go 'I must have that bag'. They do some great bags! Some of the designs are pretty stylish, and they're generally practical too. I bought a big organgey red bag a few months ago. I really didn't need a bag but it was one of THOSE bags! I must have gone back into the shop about 4 times and gazed longingly at it before I finally caved. My justification is that it is massive, so good for my work trips to London, because I can fit an A4 folder and plenty of snacks into it. Seem sufficient rationale. Anyway, my female London colleagues seem to be really into bags - they all have Mulberrys or other posh ones. But my cheapy Accessorize bag has received so many positive comments! Amazing. And then shock horror, I was walking along the street (in London) when a woman stopped me to tell me 'I think your bag is disintegrating'. And it was! One of the decorative handle fastener bar things had fallen off, and was never to be seen again. So as ridiculous as it seems, I couldn't then use the bag with it having a decorative bit missing, because this is a bag that is under scrutiny! So I went back to Accessorize, and they were very empathetic and offered me a return (even though I'd already had it a few months), but I didn't really want to lose my special lovely bag. Then one of them realised one of their new bags has a similar bar bit on it! So they just gave me a bit from a new bag! How nice is that. Problem solved. So they're nice in this shop. And this is one of the larger Accessorizes in Glasgow so they have a really good range of stock. I find them quite good for hats too, and other fancy things - like if you're going to a wedding or posh do, and need some accessories for your outfit, you're likely to find it here.

Accessorize is the very best place in town for gorgeous accessories, from bags and bangles, to pants and purses. Everything here is made with such attention to detail and high quality materials, that they last long and will be cherished by the owner for years to come. I particularly love the bags here, as they are always a little bit out of the ordinary and have their own unique and quirky charm. For all things pretty and precious, this really is the place to be.

In theory, this place should be my favourite shop ever. For some reason, though, there's something about it that simply doesn't click. I love bags, I love hats, I'll find any excuse to buy a new scarf. And yet, this place is never the first, or even third, place I'll go to look for such items. I think it goes back to when I was younger and couldn't afford to shop here, but there must be something more. No matter how hard I try, though, I can't seem to put my finger on it. Don't get me wrong, they have lots of lovely items from which to choose. Their bags are great and often a little bit different or unusual - nothing like the same old Primark totes that everyone in Glasgow is dragging around. Accessorize is probably a great place to impulse buy all sorts of rings and gloves and purses; but I haven't really given it that chance. I think my problem is that I go here when I have money, not to browse. Whatever my issue is, Accessorize remains a great high street shop with a huge selection of all manner of accessories. If nothing else, it's great for window shopping.

I love accessories and so I love Accessorize which, to me, is the best shop for all things bags, hats and jewellery. With so many fashionable and trendy pieces of jewellery, you are bound to find something in here to everyone's taste and so often, when friends and family have asked me for birthday suggestions, I have answered: "Anything from Accessorize". That's a pretty risky statement perhaps but I just know I would like whatever it is I got. The bags are just beautiful too. The best thing? Accessorize know how to do sales. Everything goes to down to 50% and then 25%. Absolute bargain for such gorgeous goodies.

Accessorize - the name gives it away. Affordable accessories is the game here, and whilst some of them are affordable, others are ridiculously overpriced (the kids stuff namely). They have hats, and scarves, and gloves, and jewellery, and shoes, and bags, and purses, and underwear and pyjamas... and as Catriona points out, fascinators, and other hair accessory bits. Good for a browse, gifts, or whathaveyou. A decent store to pop into...

It was my friend's wedding this summer and she asked that our outfits 'please include headwear'. Hmph. I love my friend, but didn't really fancy leaving the house wearing a bird on my head, or forking out my hard-earned cash for the privilege. Luckily I stumbled upon Accessorize on Buchannan Street and their ample selection of fascinators (that's the bird-like things) which started at very reasonable prices. The shop itself it is a good one too- it's much bigger than your average Accecorize store with bigger selections of jewellery, hair things, bags, some shoes, and now that winter's on its way- hats, gloves and scarves!
